You get a private guest house with access to the entire Trapp Family Lodge. There are organized activities (I typically send a copy of the calendar for the days you'll be staying).
Pets are not allowed. If you are traveling with a furry friend, please inquire as there is a list of kennels available that I can send you.
Here are the Trapp Family Lodge Guest House Rules (straight from their owner's website):
I. Smoking is not permitted inside any of the Guest Houses or Trapp Family Lodge buildings. If smoke is
detected in the unit after check out, $200 will be charged to the registered Occupant’s credit card for
cleaning and dry cleaning. Those who smoke outside should do so in a way that does not interfere with
others’ enjoyment of the wonderful Vermont air. Cigarette butts are to be disposed of in an appropriate
II. Guest House occupancy is not to exceed the maximum of 6 people. Extra guests can be accommodated in
the Main Lodge on a space available basis, charged at the daily rate.
III. The Guest Houses have a No-Pet policy in consideration of our allergic guests. If a pet is found in the
Guest House, the registered Occupant will be asked to remove the pet immediately and a charge of
$300/day will be charged to his/her credit card for extra cleaning expenses. In addition, if there is damage
as a result of the animal’s presence, all costs for necessary repairs will be charged to the registered
Occupant’s credit card. We have a list of reputable kennels in the area. Exception is made for a service
dog defined under ADA and Vermont law. Thank you for advance notification of their presence.
IV. For the safety of all Occupants stairways or courts of the buildings are not to be obstructed. Nothing should
be placed on the staircase landings, or be projected out of any window of the Guest Houses, except that
which has been expressly approved by the Managing Agent.
V. We ask that all Occupants refrain from creating any disturbing noises in the Guest House that will interfere
with the rights, comfort or convenience of other Guests. Playing of musical instruments, loud music,
radios or televisions is prohibited between the hours of 11 PM and 8 AM.
VI. No awnings, window air-conditioning units or ventilators shall be used in or about the Guest Houses,
except that which has been expressly approved by the Managing Agent.
VII. Bicycles, scooters, baby carriages, or similar vehicles shall not be allowed to stand in the areas adjoining
the Guest Houses.
VIII. Key cards to units will be given to the registered Occupant by the Reception Desk at the commencement of
each unit week. The key cards can be kept as a souvenir or returned to the Reception Desk upon checkout.
IX. Please refer to the Guest Directory for details regarding garbage and refuse disposal & recycling.
X. Employees of the Trapp Family Lodge are not allowed to leave the Property on any private business for a
Guest House Occupant.
XI. Occupants must not park in such a manner as to impede or prevent ready access to any entrance of the
XII. In an emergency, any agent of the Trapp Family Lodge may enter any unit, at any reasonable hour, after
giving ample notice to the Occupant, for the purpose of inspecting, repairing, or otherwise maintaining the
XIII. Rules & Regulations as to the use of tennis courts, pools, Fitness Center and other such recreational
facilities shall be posted. Guest House Occupants shall observe all Rules & Regulations.
