This 1920's casita is loaded with eclectic charm and brimming with art! The Triangle neighborhood was voted hippest in Phx by Phoenix magazine! You'll be walking distance to amazing galleries, restaurants and the convention center! You'll have a private, master suite. A 2nd bedroom is available if you need more space! We can get creative to accommodate larger groups, just ask!
Welcome to Phoenix and my Arts District Casita! This ecclectic 1912 Phoenix bungalow has hardwood floors and tile throughout. You will have a master suite and second bedroom with a full size bed and a shared bathroom (if you don't want to share a bed or have a larger party). The casita has central air conditioning and a secondary unit in your master suite. There is a city-lights phoenix skyline view from the back yard and your window. From the front porch it's hard to imagine that you are in the heart of downtown Phoenix. This sweet tree lined neighborhood called the "Triangle", is vibrant and friendly. The Triangle is artsy with urban grit, authentic, steeped in the history of Phoenix. In the evening you might faintly hear, Japanese drumming from the karate studio four blocks away or a mariachi band practicing down the street and quite possibly my neighbors playing with their grandkids and joking in Spanish. There is a little park a 1/2 block away and is great for kids and critters.
I can accommodate more that 4 persons but we'll have to talk about specific details before committing to additional persons. The space would be perfect if you or a small group is in town for workshops or a conference!
You will have a private bedroom with a comfy king size bed, a quaint bathroom with a shower. Your space has a semi private side entrance. The king suite has it's own air conditioning. My third bedroom is available for up to 2 additional guests in the same party. The price is adjusted up $25 per guest after the two. The fenced in back yard also has a vintage trailer, pink flamingos, tiki torches, fire pit and chairs and a BBQ grill. Guests have access to the fridge, kitchen/dining room and living room and wireless internet. The front porch is tremendous for sunsets and a glass of vino! I have a "house bicycle" that you are welcome to! City bikes are available two blocks away. By far the best way to access and experience downtown!

Phoenix is coming alive as the days are cooling off! Great art events, festivals and outdoor activities are happening! The house is large enough for you to feel like you have your own space, and the guest area is private. If you wish, I'd be more than happy to help you with your travels! And can recommend lots of places and activities that I like, from the best coffee shops, interesting restaurants and nearby epic desert trails. The weather is heating up and the hiking will be limited to early mornings in the valley or up to Sedona and Flag. There are some amazing day trips I can suggest,as well as great info if your heading up to the Grand Canyon area. I have an independent well-behaved schnauzer named Jack, who will great you. If you have a pet, your critter needs to play well with others. Please let me know if you have any special dietary needs or preferences. I enjoy cooking and am happy to share! There will be coffee or tea for you in the morning.

Some of my best traveling experiences for me involved staying in guest homes. I'm happy to offer my space to you! I know the neighborhood, what food is good, the nightlife and insight into special places that you'd most likely not find! I will do my best to make your visit a positive experience. I am often out and about on the weekend and you are likely to have the entire 3 bedroom house to yourself! The University Park city swimming pool will be open soon! It's about a 10 minute walk and costs $2. One of my favorite things to do on a hot summer weekend in Phoenix is to hop in the pool at the Palomar hotel. They host a free pool party on the weekends!
If you are utilizing the 2nd bedroom. You have access to the 2nd full bath. It is a "Jack and Jill" bathroom with that is connected to the host's space. The shared bathroom works just fine, however, you have to remember, if you lock the opposite door, to unlock it when, you finish!
Remember! If your visiting in the (URL HIDDEN) really hot, like a different hot that you might not be used to! Stay hydrated!
Mi casa es su casa. Make yourself at home. Respect the house as if it was yours. Please no smoking inside. If you arrive and I'm not home, Jack the schnauzer will say hello then retire to his "looking out the window chair". If you are bringing a pet, please text me so I can learn more about your critter so they can feel more at home too. Please pick up after your pooch!
Hello, I wouldn't live anywhere else in Phoenix than the downtown arts districts! The neighborhood is friendly and interesting with enough grit to remind you that your in an urban area but with enough charm to make you feel like part of a community. You can find amazing food, music and culture a walk or short bike ride from my house. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of my time exploring the back country of our great state. In Phoenix itself, hiking and outdoor activities are incredible. South mountain is close and the weather is just getting cool enough to enjoy the trails. Flagstaff, Sedona and the Mogollon rim are a short day trip. Id be happy to offer insight on hiking and other activities in the area!
