Le Petit Chalet is a small (as it's name implies) bungalow. The name was chosen, presumably, because the large house is called Le Grand Chalet!
Although compact the Chalet is normally used by guests (usually French) on a regular basis for up to 3 weeks at a time who come to the town to use the Spa and benefit from its healing powers. It has now been opened up to attract a wider audience.
The entrance to the Chalet brings you into the tiled kitchen area which comprises modern facilities including fridge/freezer, oven & 4 ring hob, extractor fan, microwave and all other kitchen equipment you would expect. Next to the kitchen is the carpeted, lounge/dining area which has 2 comfortable armchairs, a dining table with 2 chairs and a large cabinet which houses the British/French TV.
A small utility room is adjacent where guests can store suitcases, coats etc. (There is also an extra freezer in here.) This has a tiled floor and is an ideal place for a dog basket. Beyond here is the shower room which has a multi-jet, modern shower cubicle and a washbasin with a large illuminated mirror. The washing machine is also in this area. (The washing line is outside and there is a clothes airing rack inside)
The bedroom has two single, comfortable beds. The toilet is en-suite.
Guests have access to the whole of the garden although, directly outside their door, they have their own enclosed area with a barbecue & picnic area, great if you have brought your pet along and want to keep him/her safe.

Le Petit Chalet is like a secret hideaway! It is situated in the mature and pretty garden of a large Belle Epoque (beautiful era) house in a charming but vibrant square, dominated by a Norman (obviously!) 19th century Church which itself is surrounded by well-maintained lawns, flower beds & hanging baskets.
Literally across the road are restaurants, shops & bars. The square at night is quiet and the Church and gardens are illuminated and create a picture postcard vista. During the day it is pleasantly vibrant due to the increasing popularity of the Patisserie/Boulangerie. Throughout the day locals from all around flock for their bread & croissants (and cakes!) The smell of freshly baked bread in the morning is simply mouthwatering!
There is a small, local-produce market on 2 days of the week in the village situated on the road that leads to the Chateau. (Another market can be found further into the town.)
The Chateau is situated in its own grounds/park. This is a large public place and the Chateau is the Mayor's office and marriages are officiated here. (Our daughter celebrated her marriage at the Chateau)
Enjoy your stay and leave the bungalow as you found it.

My husband Mike and myself are a bubbly couple who have a wealth of experience looking after guests.
Both Mike and I were born in Manchester, UK and Mike is mad about United.
Lyn can't live in France without certain essentials ie. Heinz baked beans, Warburtons bread, bacon and marrowfat peas.
Mike misses going to Old Trafford.
Lyn loves all the old musicals and Mike likes to read in a long hot bath!
