This charming self-contained cottage across the breezeway from Trewent Farmhouse, is on a rural property with the owners living up the hill. Rent this one or both together. Each one is completely self contained - own driveway own entry, full facilities etc.
(As part of our farm stay business we like to leave you little surprises like starters for brekkie, muesli, coffee, fresh fruit in season, and you are able to buy home made jam from us too.)
The little cottage:
This is a lovely handmade house - it has a charming studio design, (bedroom and living area are one) with jarrah timber and some stained glass windows. It has a separate bathroom and toilet and a little kitchen with hotplates microwave, kettle and toaster, ideal for couples (perhaps a child sleeping on the couch - check with us if a cot needed.) Nestled in a bush setting, tranquil and close to nature, the cottage has plenty of birds around and you may even see kangaroos on the property. Quiet and restful surroundings.
Walk near the creek, sit on your private verandah and watch the rare firetail finches and the blue wrens and parrots, breathe in the forest air and see the stars at night.

We live on the property and are just a short walk up the hill, so we are easily available if needed for advice on where to go or what to do. At times there may be other people staying in the farmhouse but you are quite independent and separate and have your own drive in, entrance, verandah and outlook. We like you to please yourselves about how much interaction you desire - but we are here if you wish to pay us a visit and have a chat.
Другие важные подробности
We supply good quality linen and bedding but it can get cold, even with cosy fires so bring warm clothes and sturdy shoes if you plan to walk in the bush in the colder months. A few little goodies are there for your first morning, ( tea, coffee, muesli, milk and fruits from the garden from time to time in season) and after this you are able to fill your fridge with your own supplies of wonderful southern forest produce from either Manjimup or Pemberton.
We have always found our guests treat our place respectfully and appreciate the homely, handmade features of our farmhouse and cottage. This was our home for many years and we are very happy to find visitors love it too. (Of course there is no smoking inside.) We regret - no guest animals (we often have baby lambs and the wild life around the house is precious to us.)

I live near the beautiful karri forests of south west Western Australia and my husband and I enjoy sharing our rambling cottage and farm house with holiday guests. We live on an old farm situated along a little creek with ancient trees and rare birds, kangaroos and possums visiting. We have a big vegetable garden and I'm lucky to have an artist's studio where I paint and make silver jewellery. Our old kelpie loves to accompany visitors on walks around the farm. We grow berries in summer and have lots of fruit trees for preserving and jam making. We keep very busy and active with farm jobs but I do have time to learn the piano and also Japanese (I'm a beginner but am getting better.) We love France, Romanesque architecture and French food and speak tolerable French. We read heaps and follow politics and the arts.
