Tucked away in a safe, quiet cul-de-sac (pedestrian-only street), stay within a stone's throw of Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill Gate, and Kensington High Street
No smoking. Use the garden, but please take an ashtray.
No entertaining - just the booked guests in the house.
And please try to be quiet in the street post-10pm.
But do cook-up, put your feet up, and relax as much as possible!

Londoner born and bred, but a big traveller. I've lived outside of the UK for about 8 of the past 10 years, in North America, Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Loving being back in the world's greatest city - and I say that as London has it all: culture, energy, finance, the arts, politics, history, great dining, superb pubs, amazing parks, nightlife, markets, architecture, galleries, museums, and even good weather - yes, that's right, I said that London has good weather!! It never gets too cold or too hot. You can tour to your heart's content (although you might need a brolly!)
Kensington is where I grew up. It's a safe, chic neighbourhood, with superb shopping, lovely pubs, and, of course, a certain William & Kate live nearby.
But the best bit about it has to be the park. It's HUGE, and you can cycle the whole way to central London without seeing a car.
Frankly though, I spend a lot of time in the local pub, which is about seven seconds from my house. You'll have to check it out when staying.
