Don't stay here, it's a direct breach of Qiang's lease agreement. I found this out when I went to try to use the gym with the membership card left for me. When my license didn't match the name on the membership card, the security guard started asking questions. Unless Qiang is in the apartment while someone is staying there/visiting the person must be added to his lease. This is a gated community in which every resident meets a certain age requirement and goes through a background check. The security guard let me leave (I wasn't allowed to use the facility) without following up with anything, but moral of the story is DON'T STAY HERE. The layout of the apartment itself has a lot of potential but it honestly looked like Qiang moved out but left a few things behind. Awkward having a bed but no couch in the living room and there was no dish soap, towels for bathing, and many other things. Thankfully, I was able to borrow some things from a friend in the area. Additionally, the apartment clearly had not been cleaned prior to my arrival. Qiang was easy to communicate with prior to arrival as was his sister, who checked me in as Qiang was out of town. During my stay, his sister was still easy to contact but he never responded to me and check out was a bit more difficult than any other airbnb place I've stayed thus far in that I had to set up a specific time to meet his sister to give her the key instead of leaving the key somewhere or using a key pad to enter/exit.
Qiang was out of town, but was very quick to respond and set us up to meet his sister for logistics. It could not have been easier to communicate with her as she was very helpful and quick to respond. We (two of us, the place could easily house four, especially for a long weekend) really only needed a place to crash for a couple nights and this apartment fit our needs perfectly. It was spacious and relatively clean, and felt like a college kids apartment with most of the personal affects removed (which is what it is I think). It would have worked well for a prolonged stay. They have most toiletries you would need (shampoo, conditioner), and had bottled water for us too. Only complaint I have is the bedsheets did not seem to be freshly laundered. They were not disgusting, but smelled a bit like they had been slept on once or twice. Also, there were not any towels we found in the apartment. We were near family so we borrowed some and did not need to ask Qiang's sister. Overall, great stay and would come again.
Great location. Nice apartment complex with many amenities. This unit is basic so you will need to bring most supplies. Two queen sized beds but limited furniture. The unit is large with a balcony and easy access to the swimming pool. Parking can be limited based on time and day. Host is very responsive and accommodating to all requests. Very well priced!
