i dont think words or pictures could really describe how magical the place is. A house in the middle of the jungle but also so close to everything, with two private's amazing Cenote where the water is turquoise and clear for meters deep. Honestly the best place i have stayed!!! The hosts are very nice as well and will answer any question you have or help you. I will go back there next time we are in Mexico
If you want to be in the forest, with access to two stunning cenotes, and also a short drive from the Caribbean, this is the place for you. The "Riviera Maya" has become a tourist zoo, and this small cluster of buildings in the forest is an antidote. "Ha" is the bottom-floor of a two-story building, the top of which is also rented out as a vacation property. This means that you don't have total privacy, and there is a some anthropogenic light and noise, but it's not too bad. The little private area behind the house has a table and a barbecue, but is the least appealing part of the property. There are a few other buildings on the property as well, which share access to the remarkably intact forest, and the gorgeous cenotes. The two adults in our family of four are tropical biologists, so we have high standards when it comes to intact ecosystems. We watched an iguana fight, saw morpho butterflies (bright blue) daily, watched motmots (gorgeous neotropical birds), and snorkeled with catfish and little turtles in the cenotes. The interior space is beautifully appointed, with comfortable beds and soft linens and towels; unique tile and artwork; and all appliances (fans, shower, fridge) fully functional. Jorge, who lives on-site, is professional, warm, friendly, honest, and helpful. Haydee was quick to respond with all questions in advance of our trip. Be aware that the road in, once you turn off of highway 307, is deeply rutted in places; it's doable in a little sedan (such as we rented), at least in the dry season, but would be easier with 4WD.
This is a beautiful location, close to 307, yet feels worlds away. The cabin itself is the bottom part of a two family house. Jorge and Maria live in another house nearby and are the loveliest and most helpful hosts. The cabin has bottled water, tea and coffee. There are a total of 4 cabins in this eco-complex, 2 private (gorgeous) cenotes and 3 wonderful dogs. Our friends stayed in the jungle cabin close by and we had a very relaxing time. We saw monkeys, toucans and many iguanas, right on the property. All in all, a wonderful, relaxing time!
The property is actually deep in the forest but not too far off the highway. We were actually hosted by Jorge who lived above. The house is really surrounded by nature and the house built with many wood components. The host Jorge was accommodating and warm. Clean and have everything you need in the house.
