Cute bedroom in shared 2 BR apt. with 2 terrasses & a small garden. Quiet neighborhood, easy to get into Paris. For minimum stay: breakfast ingredients, prepared dinners & basic amenities provided. I usually also have ingredients available if you want to make your lunch. For long term visitors (1 month or more) the same conditions, and the rate is lower but we share basic household costs.
NOTE: For the period February 2018 to about mid-June 2018 no long term visitors; maximum 1 week.




For most bookings there is a 2 night minimum; I prefer 3 to 7 nights, but can normally also do weeks or months at a time.

Some of the days around the Stade de France events are at higher rates, but if you're looking to book longer term including those dates then we can come to an agreement on the overall price per day.

A small cozy private bedroom available in a 2 bedroom garden apartment (with 2 terrasses (patios) and a small garden).

The minimum stay is 2 nights; for 2 to 7 nights 2 people can be hosted. Otherwise, normally only 1 person can be hosted for longer stays.

IMMEDIATE PARIS AREA (3 métro stops over the Paris border): neighborhood Carrefour Pleyel on the métro line number 13 (direction St. Denis Université). The métro stop is a 5 minute walk away, and can take you to Gare Saint Lazare, or close to some central Paris tourist areas (Champs Elysées, Invalides). There are bus lines from Carrefour Pleyel to Porte de Clignancourt-Stains (255), Levallois-Saint Denis RER (274), and Saint Ouen RER-La Villette (139). Also not far is the bus for Porte de Clichy-La Courneuve (173). You can even (take a longish) walk (or bus 139) to the RER B station Stade de France-St Denis (for trains into Châtelet).

For shorter term guests: Breakfast ingredients will be available and usually I have lunch ingredients available. Prepared dinners are included in the price.

For long term guests (i.e. 1 month or more) the nightly cost is less than for shorter term guests, but there is an additional cost to share general household costs (food etc). Judging by recent long term guests I would request approximately an additional 120€/month - clearly identified by receipts etc.; all costs considered it still brings a monthly cost well within the Paris norms for long term furnished housing + food/utilities, laundry facilities etc. Message me to negotiate price depending on your length of stay.

For both short-term and long-term guests, I prepare most dinners and eat with my guests.

When possible, specific requests for types or brands of food are generally respected. Please be clear about your dietary restrictions/preferences, BEFORE you arrive.

The apartment is shared with me (Anglophone/French-speaking, professional woman) and a cat; sometimes my adult daughter is here.

For non-smokers only; with no dietary restrictions (for medium-long term guests).

Bed linens and towels are provided.
Basic bathroom amenities are available: shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, soap.

Preference for fluent English speakers or French speakers.

The apartment is 80 square meters (861 sq ft), modern (built in 2007), with double entry codes, and separate storage areas for bicycles and pushchairs. The apartment consists of:

- Entryway with visiophone

In open plan:
- Living room & Dining room (iPod/iPhone dock/stereo, large mirrored closet, cupboards, sofa, easy chair; WiFi box; land line telephone; 4K (Ultra HD) TV; large dining room table which can seat up to 8, stereo, cupboards.)

Semi-open to the living area:
- Fully equipped Kitchen (5 burner gas stove, very large electric oven, new or recent appliances: dishwasher, multi-function oven: microwave/convection/grill/dual, refrigerator, electric tea kettle, toaster, and espresso coffee machine. I also have other appliances such as blender, raclette and fondue appliances, bread machine, crock pot....)

- Larger terrasse and small private garden giving onto the living room, dining room, and kitchen. On the terrasse is a picnic size table and seating, gas barbecue, electric barbecue, smaller teak table and 2 chairs, chaise longue, and electric terrasse heater (the kind you see on café terrasses). Lots of plants and flowers. The larger terrasse has sun in the later part of the afternoon.

- Hallway to private sleeping areas

- 2 bedrooms

- 1 bathroom with a double sink and “douche italienne” (design-style shower, but with a glass wall & shower curtain)

- Laundry room with recent machines (clothes washer and dryer - also, of course, an ironing board and iron are available)

- 1 separate WC (toilet) with sink

- Small terrasse giving onto the 2 bedrooms (with small table & 2 chairs) - gets the morning sun.

The room that is available is the smaller bedroom, 10.6 square meters (114 sq ft). It has a “lit gigogne” (trundle bed: 2 single mattresses that can be pulled out into a double bed configuration, both mattresses when pulled out are on the same level. Each mattress is 80x200 cm, so when in double bed configuration it is 160x200 cm and it takes up a fair amount of space in the bedroom). There are 2 chests of drawers, a bookshelf, a desk, 2 small open armoires (closets/shelves). For more clothes hanging space the mirrored closet in the living/dining area can be used.

The wifi reaches into all areas of the apt, including on the terrasses. Fiber optic will very soon be installed. There is in any case a wifi extender so there should not be a problem with internet. You could also plug directly into the Livebox with an ethernet cable if you prefer.

Predominantly residential and business offices.
Near the border of Paris and St. Ouen.
In the neighborhood very close by is the Cité du Cinéma Luc Besson and the Ecole de Cinéma Louis Lumière.
One métro stop away is the Stade de France (for sports matches & large concerts). Bus 255 also goes from Carrefour Pleyel to Stade de France and into central Saint Denis.
A very nice tourist visit is the Basilique de St. Denis (2 métro stops away), where you can also find a very large open air market (“marché") and a very large supermarket (Carrefour). It is a very lively, “populaire” area, also with many boutiques and shops (even open on Sunday).
The St. Ouen flea market is not too far away.
Near the Carrefour Pleyel métro stop there are a couple of boulangeries, a pharmacy, a post office, a florist, 3 banks, several restaurants, a small "mom & pop" store.
Other grocery stores are Franprix at Mairie de St. Ouen (1 métro stop or 3 bus stops), Monoprix at Garibaldi (2 métro stops), or a little further a large hypermarché E. Leclerc (on bus line 274). There's also a small grocery store a few minutes walk away, in the opposite direction of the métro.
A Marriott Courtyard hotel and a B&B hotel are on the same street.

SHORT TERM (minimum 2 nights, to 7 nights): 30 EUR/day: no additional costs for any meals throughout the week.
For short term bookings 15€/day extra for 2nd guest.

MEDIUM TO LONG TERM (anything over 7 days): 700 EUR/month (23.33 EUR/day based on a 30 day month) + shared household expenses. Note that Airbnb counts a 28 day month whereas I go by a 30 day month, so to get to 700€/30 day month we can do the pricing by "special offer" if necessary. If more than 7 days and less than 30 days, the monthly price will be pro-rated.

For check in and check out: I have a "lockbox" for when I'm not available. If you arrive before 9:30 am on weekdays I am usually here, also all day on Fridays. The code on the lockbox is changed after each guest.

You will have access to all parts of the apartment (except for my bedroom), and of course you can go onto the 2 terrasses or the garden.
My house is your house.
You can also go out into the communal residence garden.

I am there almost every evening and I usually make and eat dinner with my guests, although I arrive home late during the work week so dinners are not before 9:00 pm, sometimes later.
I leave for work late in the mornings (9:30 am).
Guests should feel free to "hang out" in the living/dining area, or on the terrasses - no need to stay in the bedroom!

A cleaner comes once per week (Tuesday in the afternoon). A 15 EUR cleaning fee is normally required for every reservation (regardless of reservation length) but I do sometimes waive that.

A cat lives here! (A little girl -- she comes in and out as she wishes, via the cat door.) So if you are allergic to cats this may not be the place for you.

No smoking in the apt. and preferably not on the terrasses or in the garden.

Please clean up after yourself, particularly in the kitchen and the bathroom. I like to keep the place clean and I don't want to come home after a long day at work to try to cook dinner when the kitchen is not cleared up.

If you wish to have visitors that's fine, but please let me know ahead of time; I would also appreciate if you could give me the most advance notice as possible if you won't be home for dinner.

If you expect that you will have an unusual schedule, please let me know ahead of time. (i.e. arriving home at 3 am; or staying up all night to work and sleeping all day, etc...)

I have a "no multi-media at the table" rule; I don't usually answer the phone when I'm dining with anyone, and I would appreciate if guests do not bring their phones to the table at dinner time.

You will have in your room a detailed "Household instructions" document which will tell you all important information, including the wifi code, how to use the various appliances, how to lock up the apt. when you go out, etc. Of course I will go through with you the various points, but please read the document upon your arrival.

Mein Aufenthalt bei Bonnie war klasse. Sie ist ein total umgänglicher lieber Mensch, ich konnte kommen und gehen wie ich wollte, sie hat sogar am Anfang einen Schlüssel deponiert weil sie bei meiner Ankunft nicht da war. Ich konnte mich bei ihr wie zu Hause fühlen, das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und das Bett total bequem. Bonnie hat sogar abends gekocht und das Essen war klasse :-) Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, ich komm wieder!

It was great to stay in Bonnie's spacious modern home during a research trip to the national archives. My bedroom itself was perfect with its own patio and plenty of desk- and shelf-space. So easy get to the archives on metro line 13 in 15 minutes and to everywhere else in the city with just one or two transfers. Bonnie is a generous and thoughtful host!

J'ai passé un très bon mois chez Bonnie ! Le logement était vraiment très agréable, les repas délicieux et les conversations aussi intéressantes qu'amusantes ! Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un séjour de plusieurs semaines sur Saint-Denis, je vous recommande vivement ce logement !

Je recommande vivement ! J'ai passé un excellent week-end chez Bonnie ! Avec un ami nous arrivions assez tard sur Paris le samedi soir mais ça n'a posé aucun problème à Bonnie pour nous accueillir, ce qui nous a beaucoup facilité les choses. Une semaine avant notre arrivée elle a pris le soin de nous indiquer toutes les informations nécessaires pour nous rendre à son appartement et répondre à nos questions par mail. L'appartement est très jolie, propre et on a tout le nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour. Il est situé à proximité des transports en commun (bus, métro) et dans un quartier calme. Il est aussi facile de se rendre au Stade de France à pied (environ 25min), lieu où nous nous sommes rendus pour assister à un concert. Bonnie est une hôte souriante, avec qui on peut parler de tout et qui met tout de suite à l'aise à notre arrivée. Encore merci pour tout !

Appartement en rez de jardin super ! Et très très propre ! La chambre est très bien avec un petit balcon. L'accueil de Bonnie est parfait avec une communication par mail avant le séjour . N'hésitez pas à réserver chez Bonnie pour vos séjour sur St Denis.
