Do you have a picture of the stains? I didn't see any. White "stains" on gray sheets could only be from bleach, anyway, and I would have seen that. I get very high ratings for cleanliness. I suppose I should have given you notice that I would be entering your apartment to deal with your issue, but I addressed it as quickly as possible in a way I thought was reasonable. As for the leak, unfortunately, it happened right before your stay. Humidity? It's July in New York City. The a/c has a dehumidify function, which is explained in my house manual. Also, I state very clearly in the listing that there are parties on the block in the summer. You left your umbrella in an area only you, my cleaner and myself have access to. Also, you reported it missing on a day that there was no rain, so I don't see how anyone would be motivated to take it. I have had the same cleaner for 5 years and have been hosting for 2+ years and nothing has ever been reported missing. Very odd. Are you sure you locked the door? With so many complaints, I don't know why you didn't ask to check out early. I'm sure Airbnb would have given you a refund and helped you find another place. Personally, I would never stay in a place that I felt was not secure or 100% safe. This is all very odd to me -- definitely one of the strangest host experiences I've ever had.
