Portland is famous for its geology and building stone and forms part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, so there are lots of great cliff-top walks as well as Sailing, Windsurfing, Diving, Sea fishing, Biking, kayaking, skateboarding, Rock climbing and free Tennis courts in the Park opposite the front of the house. But the best is the wonderful unspoilt sweep of Chesil Beach with the waves pounding on the stones and the glorious sunsets over Lyme Bay.

The owners are enthusiastic about their holiday home and are happy to share it with those who appreciate its charms and the strange but unique Isle of Portland. We will provide an extensive information sheet to aid guests. Email correspondence or phone calls are encouraged before booking to ensure the house is right for you since we like to be sure that it is going to suit the tenants needs. This is not the usual commercial holiday Let but a chance to share our second home, so we want tenants to enjoy it for what it is and overlook its minor imperfections, since it is a 'work in Progress' but improvements are being made all the time.

We use our house in Portland to escape from work and the city and enjoy the peace and fresh sea air, but we are happy to share it with friends and those who will appreciate the special qualities of the place.
We are admirers of mid century style and our house has many mid century pieces of furniture as well as some contemporary touches of our own.
