Safe, urban, diverse neighborhood with friendly locals. Close to trains and Central Park.
Elevator building (no lugging bags up flights of stairs) located on Madison Avenue. A minute walk into Central Park from the building. Steps from Museum Mile!
Please note there is construction going on in my neighborhood and in my building between the hours of 8am-4:30pm. It is not consistent but can be annoying at times. The evenings are quiet as usual.
Do all your sightseeing in the hustle and bustle of New York City then come to the north-eastern corner of Central Park to get away from the tourists and hectic crowds!
Sit on the terrace and watch the sun go down in the evenings on the west side. Wake to the sound of birds chirping outside your window in the morning.
Two separate bedrooms, with living room, eat in kitchen and 1.5 bathrooms and a full private terrace with sliding glass doors for access.
Two of the bedrooms have a full sized/double beds each. The living room has a day bed (Ikea futon) that sleeps one person and there is also a queen size airbed that can fit in the living room and sleep two people comfortably. The airbed is self inflating and the height of a regular bed (it's one of the new double height air mattresses). There is also an additional portable folding cot that can sleep an additional person comfortably in one of the two bedrooms.
Email me for more details and I can help you decide how to set the apartment up for maximum comfort.
There are flat screen TV's in all the bedrooms, but no TV in the living room right now.
I live in an older New York City building which is pretty much 99% of the buildings in New York. The water pressure is unique in every apt/building in this city. Because it's an older building there is a full terrace and the apartment is spacious (for New York City). Come to experience and enjoy the quirks of the city and city living.
I live in this apartment and rent out the bedrooms separately and have recently decided to rent out the two bedrooms together to host larger parties traveling together. I have 127 reviews from Airbnb guests who have stayed with me in this apartment. If you want to see the reviews for the individual rooms please click the links below:

GETTING TO THE APARTMENT/MANHATTAN:
The apartment is easily accessible from LaGuardia (LGA) Airport by taxi for about $30+tolls and tip (20 minute ride) or bus ($2.50 w/1 free transfer) (60 minute ride).
JFK is a 30-35 minute trip for $52+tolls by taxi or 80 minutes by subway - you'd take the airtran (about $5) and the the subway for $2.50 (but with heavy luggage this might be a hassle).
Newark Airport is about 80-90 minutes away by subway (take the airtran and then grab the New Jersey transit or Amtrak into Manhattan and then grab the subway up to my place). A taxi from Newark airport to my apartment in Manhattan is $100, tip dependent on traffic and can take anywhere from 30-40 minutes.
SuperShuttle or Airlink is available from all of the airports for about $25 per person (prices vary), so check out their websites and book in advance.
CHECK-IN: anytime after 2PM (14:00)
CHECK-OUT: before 2PM
If you need an earlier or later check-in or a later check-out PLEASE confirm with me during the booking process. Assuming I can accommodate you on the day of your checkin-in or check-out makes for an uncomfortable situation for both of us if I cannot.
If there is a sign that says 'do not enter' please respect it. Guests have use of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room and terrace. There are personal items of mine stored in some of the closets, please do not go through, or use my personal items under any circumstance.
Общение с гостями
I'm available by text, phone and email.
Please leave your shoes at the door. It keeps the apartment much cleaner and cozier! You can bring your own house slippers if you like.
Please clean up after yourself (i.e. nose hairs on the sink, hair in the shower, spilled food on the counters, etc...).
Used dishes should be washed every evening and put to dry in the kitchen, stacks of dishes in your room overnight is a no no, I do not want vermin or any insects moving into my home.
Help save energy and conserve the environment; turn off televisions and lights upon leaving the apartment.
Please be mindful of my neighbors. You are living in my home, not a hotel, hostel or bed and breakfast. Please be considerate of my neighbors who are low key quiet working people. Keep your noise levels to a minimum in the hallways in the morning and evening.
