Lovely, newly refurbished garden studio a stones-throw away from St Ives & all the area's amazing beaches. Surrounded by nature with loads of light. Its peaceful & within walking distance of the town, shops, restaurants, galleries & the Coastal Path.
The studio is located in the garden of the historic Count House in Carbis Bay. The house used to belong to world-famous potter Bernard Leach (there is a museum in town with his works.) It is a 15-20 mins walk from St Ives; a 15 mins walk to the award-winning Carbis Bay beach; and a 5 mins-walk to incredible parts of the Coastal Path.
The studio has been recently refurbished to allow as much light in as possible (there are three big roof lights and a number of windows.) You will be surrounded by nature and tranquility but within easy reach of all urban amenities.
The studio is ample and comfortable. It has two access doors, one leading to a private patio. It has a big double bed, a kitchen space (fridge, microwave, grill-toaster, Nespresso and kettle) bathroom & shower, working - dining area and a beautiful UK-made Burley wood-burner. It is a very cosy and warm space.
Please note that there is no TV but there is good internet connection.
Though the studio is perfect for two people, we can also accommodate infants and children aged 2-6 with a travel cot and appropriate linen.
Guests will have their own private access to the Count House studio via a private patio. Upon request, guests are also welcomed to enjoy the garden, its green house, and the BBQ patio.
Also upon requests, guests will be welcomed to use the washer in the main house.
There is free street parking outside the property. It is a quiet and safe street and usually there is no problem finding a spot. We park our van everyday and have never had a problem so far. There are also a few public car parks within walking distance from the studio.
Общение с гостями
We live in the main house and will be available all the time when in town. If it happens that we are away (unlikely,) we will be available all the time via phone, email or Airbnb app.
Most of the times, we will welcome and say goodbye to our guests.
Другие важные подробности
There is a very nice Burley wood-burning stove in the studio which will make the space very warm and cosy. It heat a lot but will need minimum work to lit and keep on. We will show guests who haven't used a stove before (though it is pretty much the same as a fireplace, only much more efficient.)
In the kitchen space, guests will be able to prepare basic meals. It has a fridge, microwave, toaster/grill, kettle and a Nespresso machine.
For those who are Bernard Leach fans, we are happy to show them the fireplace, tiles and doors he left in the main house.
Please make sure you don't leave the wood-burner unattended when in use. We are very careful of our furniture and decor and would be super thankful if our guests could also take a lot of care. We would also appreciate if you did not smoke in the studio.
Please note that though we welcome pets, we would be thankful if you avoided them sleeping in your bed. Thank you!

We are a couple who for eight years and counting are in love with the UK and the amazing things it has to offer. From the best city in the world: London, to miles of golden sandy beaches and incredible countryside in beautiful Cornwall. This is why we decided to split our time between both these incredible places.
In London, we have always lived in Bermondsey because it has everything we think is important: great restaurants and foodie places, great independent shops, busy though peaceful and quiet, a walk from everywhere central, excellent transport connections, walking distance from the City and the incredible Thames. This is important to us because we love the outdoors and keeping very active and running along the river is magic.
In Cornwall we live in the most beautiful place on Earth (or at least we think so) - St Ives which also has everything we love. Paradisiac beaches great for surfing, windsurfing and paddle surfing; great restaurants sourced with local produce; renowned galleries including the Barbara Hepworth museum and the Tate Gallery; astonishing landscape and scenery; the Coastal Path and the peace and tranquillity of living close to Nature.
We love travelling, meeting people and experiencing how people live in all parts of the world. And we feel that anyone coming to our places will get to experiment this: living like a true Londoner or enjoying Cornwall like a local.
