I had the pleasure of meeting Liz and she is a very hospitable hostess. The house is amazing, it was like walking into a museum. It is to Jim and Liz's credit that they have maintained such an old house in such a pristine condition! Because the house bio mentions that Jim is a farmer, I was expecting the house to be more rural however its right in the middle of the town and the farm starts out the back. I would definitely recommend Jim and Liz as hosts at the Peabody house.

This home is just as described. Cozy with reliable wifi, lots of space, a washer and dryer, and a kitchen stocked with some essentials that made preparing breakfast really easy. We found the twin beds slightly more comfy than the full bed. Overall, the home was a nice and enjoyable getaway from the city. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute place. The old tube style radio offered a step back in time and worked well. Please note that this place does not have a TV but the WiFi works well. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. We would gladly stay again if we are in the area.

Beautiful, clean, and relaxing stay. It was like jumping into a Time Warp. The historic house was true to the time (but with convenient modern appliances for our comfort).

The original, 1800's period home is in a beautiful, pastoral setting. JIm, the owner, was kind to show us their border collies "at work" with their sheep. Seeing the chickens that laid the fresh eggs we were able to eat was neat, too. And the pigs with their personalities were especially cute. It was wonderful to spend a couple days in the gorgeous, Vermont countryside!

The rasberrys we cold pick were lovely. What we missed in all the reviews and the discription was that the house was on route 7 and not what we thought a rustic place to spend a few days. It was not charming to hear all those cars passing by. The swim lake nearby was very nice. It was an old house and so it smells, we did not like the beds either but that is personal, although i think with a little investment it would be a cozy cottage. The contact with the owners was perfect, the price cold not be beter.

The Peabody House is a charming period house that will make you feel you have travelled back in time to when life was simpler. We stayed at Peabody House with our four year old son and were given a personal tour of the farm by Jim and were even allowed to collect the chicken eggs. It was so sweet!! Jim and Liz were the perfect hosts and stocked the kitchen with fresh eggs, milk and Green Mountain coffee for the Keurig machine. The house has everything you could possibly need or want and is tastefully decorated in an antique country style. In particular we loved the antique radio and the great local radio station. This was by far the best AirBnB experience we have ever had and would definitely recommend it to others.
