Fabulous location on the marsh. Great house with bedrooms spread out for privacy and lots of room for entertaining on two levels plus the huge deck. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool, but the hot tub was in service every night. FYI, remember to bring vests for childre…

This property is much larger than the photos lead you to believe. It's super close to the beach, has gorgeous views of the marsh and has all of the amenities you could ask for. My complaint is that it's not maintained to warrant the price point it's listed at. We will not be back…

We are sorry to hear that these guests were dissatisfied, and apologize on behalf of the housekeepers, Terminix and the HVAC maintenance company. This summer, Charleston has endured extremely heavy rainfall and high humidity levels, which caused the conditions referenced. The property is exterminated twice a month, but pests have invaded Lowcountry homes even more than usual this summer. Terminix informs us that all waterfront homes are having the same experience. While the bugs encountered were dead or dying, we realize it is unpleasant to see them. Similarly, the HVAC company says all their customers are having excessive sweating from duct lines this summer because of the extreme moisture. As condensation falls from the ducts it sometimes seeps to the sheetrock and mildew will grow. We realize there are two small spots on the second floor ceiling and a small spot on the third floor where this has begun to occur. The problem is being corrected. The same housekeepers have been keeping the house for many years and do an excellent job. If guests found a tub or shower unsatisfactory they were encouraged to call the property manager. Housekeepers would have gladly returned the same day, as they always will for all guests. Follow-up housekeeping has never been previously needed nor requested, but it is always available upon request. The outside lights all worked properly when the guests arrived, with the exception of the pool light, which was fixed the day after arrival. If the location of the switches for the other lights couldn't be located, the electrician would gladly have pointed them out when he fixed the pool light in the guests’ presence. We regret that these guests were dissatisfied with the $437.00 nightly rate. That is a rate of $87.00 per bedroom, per night, and well below peak-season rate. This property is known to be one of the most reasonably priced properties on Seabrook and Kiawah. We would have liked for the guests to have conveyed their concerns to us when they were in the house, as it is not possible to address issues of which we are not aware. Thanks to these guests for their rental, and we wish them happy future travels.
