I stayed here for six weeks while taking a Polish language course at UJ. I thought it was a very good value after the monthly discount. The location is very good - it's about a 10 or 15 minute walk to the old town, but other areas like Kazimierz and Podgórze are easily accessible as well. Normally there are trams on Grzegórzecka, basically right outside the door of the apartment, that would connect it to the old town and other parts of the city, but these weren't running during my stay because the tracks were being rebuilt.
The apartment is exactly as it appears in the listing. It's very well furnished, it was clean when I arrived, and almost everything is in good condition (exceptions below). I really enjoyed having a washing machine in the apartment during such a long stay.
The only negatives for me: 1) As another reviewer mentions, the apartment is across the street from a hospital, and ambulances are dispatched directly onto the street the apartment is on. They tend to turn their sirens on just as they are passing the apartment, and the sirens are EXTREMELY loud, especially when the windows are open. There are definitely fewer at night, though. 2) The oven couldn't be used, but the range works fine. This wasn't a problem for me, but potential guests who are excited to see an oven in the picture should be aware. 3) The toilet seat was quite loose from the beginning of my stay, to the point that I was worried it was going to fall off.
Asia was very communicative over the Airbnb message thread, although she doesn't even live in Poland. She was also very understanding when there was a payment issue in the middle of my stay and we had to go through Airbnb to get the reservation fixed. Check-in with her mom, Jadzia, was very easy, and she was very friendly, although other reviewers have noted she doesn't speak English. We weren't able to orchestrate an in-person check-out, so Asia asked me to leave the key in the mailbox, which was fine with me.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment to potential guests.
