Experience life like a true Londoner from our lovely & cosy home in trendy Bermondsey. Great for food-lovers, city commuters & London fans. 2-5min walk to Bermondsey St & Maltby St market. 12-min walk to Tower & London Bridge. 20-min walk to the City
Our one bedroom flat is on the top floor of a beautifully preserved three-storey Georgian townhouse. The flat has a lovely crisp light throughout the day with nicely-sized windows in all rooms. The location is amazing and despite it being central, the flat is always quiet and very peaceful thanks to our double-glazed windows.
You are only a 10 minute walk from the closest tube station which is Borough! But the best thing about the location of this flat ...or should we say 2 best things are ... (1) you are close to some amazing food places especially Maltby Street food market and (2) the iconic Tower Bridge is only a short walk away!
The flat is completely refurbished to a high standard while keeping its unique historic features. The original oak floors and a careful shabby-chic decoration give a very cosy feeling to all rooms.
The living room is cosy. You will find a roomy sofa-bed, ideal for kids or extra guests. There is also a four-seating dinner table to be used for dining, socializing or working from home.
We are not keen on TV but we absolutely love books which means that you will not find a TV set but you will find a shelf full of books which we are happy for you to borrow. There is of course high-speed broadband so you will always have the option of watching TV 21st century mode (ie. on your iPad or laptop.)
In the bedroom, the brand-new Habitat walnut double bed is spacious and comfortable. You will also find a completely empty wardrobe and a chest of drawers to keep our your belongings neat and in place. We know that sleep is the most important aspect of your stay so we provide clean and crisp cotton sheets with 200 thread count!
The light bathroom, which has been recently painted, has a good pressure shower connected to the main boiler and an extra electric shower (we always like to be on the safe side). The bathtub is generously-sized, perfect for long relaxing baths. The bathroom is properly equipped with lovely-fraganced soaps, shampoo and towels. There is a washing machine though no tumble dryer. However, you can use the heated towel hangers.
The kitchen, also a nice light and airy space, is fully equipped with cooking hobs and oven and the essential cookware for preparing your own meals. It also has kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge.
We will provide our guests with a detailed guide on how everything works as well as recommendations for eating and drinking in the area. Baby cot and a high chair can be arranged upon prior request.
The building is a three-storey Georgian house which is accessed through the front door at street level. To enter our home, you will go up two fights of stairs and will open the door on your left, clearly marked with a welcoming "Top Flat" doormat.
The whole flat will be available for our guests.

Другие важные подробности
- Do note that some of the decoration of the current pictures will change as we are making the flat nicer for your stay.
- There is no TV in the apartment.
- The flat is on the top floor and there is no elevator in the building. If you have mobility issues then this flat may not be suitable.
Please do note that though our neighbours are very lovely, like anyone, they prefer to wake up and go to sleep in a peaceful environment so we would encourage you to keep them in mind when watching TV, playing music or when coming home late or leaving early.
We would also appreciate if you did not smoke in the flat.
We are a couple who for eight years and counting are in love with the UK and the amazing things it has to offer. From the best city in the world: London, to miles of golden sandy beaches and incredible countryside in beautiful Cornwall. This is why we decided to split our time between both these incredible places.
In London, we have always lived in Bermondsey because it has everything we think is important: great restaurants and foodie places, great independent shops, busy though peaceful and quiet, a walk from everywhere central, excellent transport connections, walking distance from the City and the incredible Thames. This is important to us because we love the outdoors and keeping very active and running along the river is magic.
In Cornwall we live in the most beautiful place on Earth (or at least we think so) - St Ives which also has everything we love. Paradisiac beaches great for surfing, windsurfing and paddle surfing; great restaurants sourced with local produce; renowned galleries including the Barbara Hepworth museum and the Tate Gallery; astonishing landscape and scenery; the Coastal Path and the peace and tranquillity of living close to Nature.
We love travelling, meeting people and experiencing how people live in all parts of the world. And we feel that anyone coming to our places will get to experiment this: living like a true Londoner or enjoying Cornwall like a local.
