SOME COMMON QUESTIONS
Guests often ask these questions before booking so please check if your question is answered here first:
EARLY CHECK IN
Guests often ask if we can accommodate early check in. We are usually fully booked and have guests departing at 11am, after which the apartment needs to be cleaned before the next guest can check in, which is why check in is at 3pm. If it is important to you, we can sometimes request the cleaner prioritise our apartment over other jobs to facilitate a check in at 2pm. This depends what else the cleaner has on that day. Luggage can be left wit the concierge until check in. If you would like to check in even earlier, the best thing to do is message a day or two before your stay and if the apartment is not booked the day before, early check in is no problem. Unfortunately it is not possible to predict whether the apartment will be free the night before any earlier than this so early check in cannot be guaranteed at the time of booking.
Darlinghurst is not a great suburb for parking and we do not offer parking with our listing. If you have a car there are three main options. First you can pay for a parking spot either in a parking station or on Parkhound (which is like airbnb for parking spots). Secondly you can use street parking - there are some free spots around but even if you secure a free spot you will probably need to move your car every 2 or 4 hours, at least on weekdays. Thirdly you can park in a neighbouring suburb like Paddington which has free all day street parking available and walk/cab/train (depending on where you park) to the apartment - this might be a good option if you don't need to use your car during your stay.
There is no smoking permitted in the apartment or on the balcony
Legal Note: While we do not expect any accidents or issues while staying at the apartment, we should note that we will not accept any liability for any injury or damage sustained during the apartment unless it is caused by a structural failure in the apartment. In addition if guests cause injury to others during their stay or damage to property (for example by dropping something off the balcony), we require guests to indemnify us for any loss suffered which is not covered by the insurance provided by AirBnb
Please hang washing inside the apartment rather than on the balcony, our strata bylaws don't allow washing on the balconies
The clothes dryer is out of order, do not attempt to use it as it may start a fire. We are waiting for it to be removed.
The rubbish chute is located next to the lift. Please take rubbish to the chute regularly.
The air conditioning cannot be set below 18 degrees or it circuits out. Please leave the temperature setting on 18 degrees. If the temperature is lowered below this and it cuts out, a callout fee for a repair man will be payable.
Please don't leave the air conditioner on when you are not in the apartment and hang washing rather than using the dryer in good weather to reduce our environmental impact
