My husband and I spent many years with our 5 kids at the cabin, skiing at White Pass, hiking, swimming, and fishing. As a kindergarten teacher who loves kids, I have left many of our family's books, games, and special stuffed animals there for your family to also enjoy. My favorite hike is to the Trail of the Patriarchs, with 1000 year old trees, an easy walk at the Stevens Canyon entrance to Mt. Rainier, only a 20 min. drive from the cabin. There's also a 4 mile hike in to Packwood Lake, a moderate walk on fairly flat trails in. White Pass Ski Resort is a 20 min. drive east on Hwy 12, with sledding area available also. Mount Saint Helens is about an hour drive, beginning on Hwy 12 west.
