Stay in a piece of Mexico City history. The house is set in one of the country's oldest art deco complexes. Look out for the grates with the name Diego Rivera who helped design the site! Located in an authentic, bustling neighborhood, our 1920s art deco house is set in a secluded private corridor in Escandon, close to Condesa, Roma and Polanco.
The room is fully furnished with all you need for a comfortable stay including a double bed, high thread count linens and Turkish cotton towels.
This rooftop room is very private. There is a sink on the rooftop but to get to the bathroom you must walk down a metal staircase one floor (there is also another separate bathroom two floors below).
We are a couple and live in and out of the house as we travel a lot. If we are not in the house we are available online for advice and tips, otherwise Eddie is our roommate in the house who takes care of guests in our absence. He was raised in California and is fluent in English and Spanish.
The house is well positioned for banks, supermarkets and great street food during the day. Escandon is an authentic part of mexico. A few blocks from the house is a great outdoor street market every Tuesday where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables. There is also the local Jose Marti indoor market open every day with good barbacoa (roast lamb) and seafood. It is a short taxi to Condesa, la Roma and Polanco (under two dollars). If you like running we are 1km away from the Bosque de Chapultepec, a great place to run which also houses a number of attractions including the museum of modern art, Anthropology museum and Castillo de Chapultepec.
We have a cleaner twice a week and she can also do your laundry if you would like. WIFI in the house is excellent (we work online).
Want to cook, no problem, the kitchen is available to use. Take your breakfast in the downstairs patio or enjoy dinner on the roof terrace under the stars. The washing machine is also available for you to use. If you want to chill out we have Netflix and a 42 inch flat screen in the lounge,

I am an expat from the UK living in Mexico City. I left my job as a corporate lawyer in London a few years ago, traveled all over the world, then met Mexico City and fell in love!
I will help you discover the authentic Mexico City, from markets to art galleries. I am a bit of a foodie and can recommend any type of cuisine you fancy. I have also travelled all across Mexico, so feel free to pick my brains, if you want to plan a larger trip.
To me, Mexico City represents an incredible energy, a thriving art's scene and a gastronomic delight. It's like a well kept secret waiting to be discovered!
