The Garden Cottage is a beautiful, warm, private guest studio house nestled in the heart of Cambie Village. Why stay in the downtown, concrete jungle with excessive parking fees when you can have your own house, not just a suite, away from traffic, noise and elevators. Just 3 kms from downtown Vancouver or 10 minutes by car, step in and enjoy the Garden Cottage's well designed interiors. Outfitted with flat screen tv, internet, comfortable queen size bed, fresh linens, and insight laundry. The cottage also has a sofa bed that sleeps 2 additional people. It has a private entrance and nicely furnished, on a quiet tree-lined residential street filled with character homes.
The cottage is very well equipped for preparing your own meals. Grocery stores are close by. You don’t really need a car.
The Garden Cottage coach house has 500 square feet of comfort in the tranquility of a nice garden setting but easily accessible to Vancouver’s main attractions. Located in the Riley Park/Little Mountain neighbourhood, a dynamic and thriving hub of unique boutiques, bakeries, pubs and restaurants, parks, antique furniture stores, theatre, organic stores, and yoga studios. It’s a great location and you can walk everywhere to these places including - Queen Elizabeth Park, Riley Park, Hillcrest Community Centre with Olympic sized pool, gym, ice skating rink, Vancouver General Hospital or Children’s and Women’s Hospital.
You are an 8 min walk to the Canada Line, whisking you to downtown Vancouver in 10 minutes or Oakridge Centre shopping mall in 3 minutes. The airport is 20 minutes away by Canada Line. Quiet, family neighbourhood. Sorry no pets, smoking, parties or loud noise. We expect our guests to respect the house and its contents, leaving it neat and tidy.
Rental Agreement - Pls provide photo ID at check in.
Garden Cottage rented under this agreement shall be solely used by you for residential purposes only for the time period agreed upon with overnight accommodations for stated number of people. You agree to abide by owner’s rules including no smoking inside or on premises and no pets. You agree to respect the property boundaries of neighbors and not to engage in loud or excessive noise between the hours of 9 PM and 8 AM. Check-in time is 4:00 PM and Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Renter to provide valid photo ID, ie: driver’s license or similar government ID prior to check in.
You agree not to sublet or assign lease to any other party for any reason and not to make alterations or modifications to any part of the premises nor to remove any contents of the Garden Cottage. Renter agrees to allow owner’s representative to access the premises in cases of emergency or unforeseen repairs and to notify owner or owner’s agent (or identified contact) immediately by phone should any problems arise. Rental Agent reserves the right to enter the Property at reasonable times and with reasonable advance notice for the purposes of inspecting the Property or showing the Property to prospective purchasers, renters or other authorized persons.
Amenities: Owner or rental agent shall use its best efforts to ensure the operation of all amenities in the Blue Oak such as internet access and cable TV access. Owner/rental agent shall not be held responsible for such items failure to work, but will make every effort to correct any issues as reported as quickly as possible.
Communications: Local telephone calls, wireless internet access, cable tv are complimentary. Downloading copyrighted or illegal material via internet access provided and which seriously risks the owner losing the internet service provided, will have their occupancy immediately terminated. You will be required to leave the property and forfeit your deposit and prepaid stay.
Cancellation: Per AirBnB, long term stay cancelation policy. No refunds will be given for unused days or early departures. In the event that the property is damaged prior to the start of the rental period, then the Owner will notify the Renter within 10 days & a refund will be given of all sums previously paid. Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability to the Renter exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period.
Housekeeping: There is no daily house keeping. Excessively littered and/or dirty conditions at check-out causing extra housekeeping hours may be charged to your security deposit. Conditions as a result of your stay that require: stain removal, repaint, refinish, repairs, replacement of furnishings or house wares, and all labor, materials required may be charged & billed to you. **Pls put furniture back the same way you found it.**
Precautions: Environmental conditions you and your guests may encounter include, but are not limited to: path access, house property-lawn/ gravel /steps / and all inside/outside transitions including stairs, decks, or slippery conditions. You hereby release the owner and or the rental agent from all personal safety risks and liability associated with your rental and stay at the Blue Oak. Guest agrees that all personal property, furnishings, personal affects and other items brought into the property by Guest or their permitted guests and visitors shall be at the sole risk of Guest with regard to any theft, damage, destruction or other loss and Rental Agent shall not be responsible or liable for any reason whatsoever.
Hold Harmless: Blue Oak and the owners and representatives, assume no liability for loss, damage, or injury to guests or their personal property. You hereby fully release and discharge from all claims, damages, or causes of action by reason of any injury or other cause, and hold the Blue Oak and the owners and their agents harmless of any claim or suit arising from you or any other guest in connection with the occupancy of the premises.
We cannot accept liability for stoppages and/or the effects of: transportation, utility services, inclement weather conditions, or natural disasters that may occur before, after, or during a vacation home rental period, nor can we be responsible for any other conditions beyond our control. Travel insurance is recommended.
