Welcome to the quiet authentic Rapenburgerplein right in the centre of Amsterdam. From your apartment you have a view of the leafy square and the characterful Scharrebier bridge and lock where the ships sail by daily. The studio is on the 1st floor with a private entrance and bathroom, Wifi, fridge, microwave. Breakfast is included, served up or downstairs.
*This is also an area where people live and work so after 23.00 we ask people to be quiet when they come home later than this.
*Accidents do happen so just let me know so I can repair or replace as soon as possible.
*Try and recycle. Glass paper bins other side of canal and plastic recycle bins next to Spar supermarket.
*Rubbish days are Monday and Thursday mornings ONLY! Opposite side of canal Tuesday and Friday. Or tell me and I'll arrange to have it put outside as there are fines for rubbish put out on the wrong day
*Above all have a wonderful time and treat our house as home.
When you go out for the day. Please..
*Close the windows.
*Turn the lights off.
*Turn the heating a bit lower.
*Lock your door securely.
*Put the security lock on the door downstairs. (You need the key to get out but it's safe and this way you can never forget your key and lock your self out!)
I can provide breakfast, but when I can't be there I'll gladly provide cereals yoghurt, fruit and juice or something else! no problem.

I'm British and have had a long career an artist/illustrator and teacher working in Amsterdam. I've illustrated for many large companies like SONY and KPMG.
I live with my daughter in the centre of Amsterdam in a beautiful canal house, with a lovely B&B apartment on the 1st floor.
I love Amsterdam in all it's seasons. My daughter and I will be your helpful host's and we have top city idea's for ALL ages and interests. We have lots of guide books and ...even better many years of experience as hosts to help you make the perfect holiday in Amsterdam.
I also give sketchbook lessons at my gallery home via Airbnb exoperiences #amsterdamsketchingsoul, it's wonderful to see what a group of travellers make in a creative afternoon. I love my life, art, my friends and family, travel, swimming, stand-up paddling, canoeing on the canals of Amsterdam, my amazing gardens (courtyard, rooftop and allotment) food and inspiring conversation with my guests.
