A tiny wooden hut on a nautical theme with outdoor hot shower, compost loo a few meters away, all in a private area on the farm and with decking area with fantastic views. Cooking on calor gas stove & fire pit. Wood provided. Off grid no electricity.
A very comfy double bed and cupboard with crockery, cutlery etc., a few games, hot water bottles, outside gravelled area with a fire pit. Calor gas stove on a cooking platform, basic tea, coffee and eggs on arrival.
It is close to the farmhouse but private and about 100 yards from the parking area over fairly level ground.
Cuckoo Farmhouse is nearby and is a strawbale, timber framed thatched farmhouse, running on solar and wood fired power and with its own borehole. We care passionately about the environment and have a big job on our hands putting the heart back into the land after it was badly neglected by the previous owners running a poultry business. Having said that the views and wildlife are incredible there are deer and badgers and foxes and owls living wild on the farm.
We feel very privileged to be custodians here and are delighted to share the space by offering hospitality.
The hut is self contained and we will leave you in peace and quiet to enjoy nature and the views but we are also on hand at any time for help, advice etc.
You are welcome to walk the farm trail which we are just establishing and to access the adjoining nature reserve.
The shower runs on calor gas and although alfresco is private and convenient and quite fun. The compost loo is private and just opposite the cabin.
Its an ideal space for a couple, drier than camping but still very much in 'The Nature' If you wanted to bring a small tent there is space to pitch it for a friend or two please ask about this when booking.
As the hut is unheated we do not let through the Winter months, . Bookings welcome from 28th April 2016.
