A 1 BR LOFT (full apartment) in secured building with floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the street. Young, hip, cool, eclectic and fun neighborhood within minutes of what DTLA has to offer.
The loft is centrally located and within walking distance of great restaurants, bars and the famous Grand Central Market. Close to the Ace Hotel, Standard and tons of other trendy, hip shops and sights. Walking distance to Little Tokyo: 10 minutes; Arts District: 15 minutes; Fashion District (OMG I can tell you some AMAZING places to get great clothing for cheap!): 10 minutes. Near dancing, live music, theatres and transit.
There is fast WiFi, Smart TV with HBO Go, NETFLIX and Cinemax.
There is a full kitchen, and dining table. You are welcome to use pots and pans to cook (Grand Central Market has incredible deals on food and produce! There is also a wine shop down the street and a farmer's market every Sunday, just a block away), along with a huge desk to sprawl out on and work from.
There is one real queen size bed with two sets of blankets and 2 pillows, as well as a TV in the bedroom area.
Large modern hotel-style bathroom with full shower/bath, sink and toilet. Cleaning fee will go directly to maid service which occurs after each guest leaves.
Please note: This is a unit in the heart of Downtown LA, which is VERY eclectic/up-and-coming. There are many different types of people and this is a big city. Think NYC in the 90s. If you love the city life and enjoy hip/artsy/cool places in a very pedestrian-centric neighborhood, this is for you!
There is also a jacuzzi, gym, and pool in the building. Washer/dryer in the unit and 5 minute walk to Pershing Square Subway station. VERY convenient to public transit and a quick train/Uber ride to Union Station. The flyaway to LAX leaves from Union Station regularly and is only $10. Also EXTREMELY convenient to ZipCar and all major bus lines.
***THERE IS NO PARKING WITH THE UNIT!*** However, there are plenty of lots available to you and your guests for $5-$10/day, which is really not that bad.
Also, feel free to get your first Uber ride free by using code taao5, or your first Lyft ride free by using Melynda1 :-)
Entire apartment and building common areas.

I will be a 5 minute walk from the apartment and am more than happy to show you around the neighborhood. I am super friendly and love to help you out. I will be around as much or as little as you need, but I will also be there to check mail and make myself available to you if needed.

Again: This is a unit in the heart of Downtown LA, which is VERY eclectic/up-and-coming. There are many different types of people and this is a big city. Think NYC in the 90s. If you love the city life and enjoy hip/artsy/cool places in a very pedestrian-centric neighborhood, this is for you! This unit is on a lower level of the building and does experience some city noise. This is not a quiet retreat in the Hamptons, but it's also not party central.
This is a full-time residence. Someone lives here, so please treat it like your own (or better!) place. Shoes off when entering and please no parties, smoking, drugs, or overnight guests.
There are no pets allowed while visiting.
Otherwise, I want you to be comfortable and happy while staying in LA, and I hope to help you have a great time!

For a living: I'm a fashion stylist/costume designer for personal shopping, commercials, film, and photo shoots. I've lived in LA for 10 years, and I generally have awesome recommendations on things to do and places to go. I also have a small men's/women's resale boutique in the heart of DTLA, which also keeps me on the go pretty frequently. You're welcome to stop by it and shop!
I can generally be found doing the "local" thing wherever I'm traveling, from NYC, to SF, to Bangkok, to Seattle, to Vegas.
