I know I should have constructed my lake house better for internal soundproofing. I've been aware of this issue from the start... and even had special insulation blown into the walls (at great expense) and a more solid door installed... and even listen to my TV over headphones. And I'll make an extra effort to be even quieter in the mornings.
PLEASE... KNOW that I want my guests to FEEL AT HOME, not like they need to walk on eggshells. Also, I don't recall having ANY PROBLEMS during their stay. I'm sensitive to my guests' need for privacy, and as I've said before, I CAN'T HEAR normal conversation through the walls. And my 'quiet' hours are actually 11 PM (changing to 12 midnight). 9 PM is for arriving, as I live in a quiet neighborhood and I've promised my neighbors I would address past issues.
Will now include a thorough explanation of these things on my welcome sheet, so hopefully no more misunderstandings.
Also ordering new futon, pillows and sheets. (I always wash linens between guests). I will also try to fix the squeak in the bed frame and doors.
I think that covers everything.
