We stayed in Astrid's place for a week and it was a great experience. Everything is accurately described in the listing. It's a small studio apartment but had everything we needed. Her friend Lisa was there to let us in and check in/out of the apartment. We were able to reach her on the phone/text at all times if needed. Here is a breakdown I hope will help other travelers:
The kitchen had full supplies (utensils, pots, pans, spices/condiments) to let us cook a daily breakfast and occasional dinner.
The patio has a small table and 2 chairs with a beautiful view of the ocean and Gosier Island. There is also a drying rack with a handful of clothespins for drying your clothes. There is a washer but no dryer. We left a bottle of detergent we purchased that should last a while.
The bed is fairly comfortable. The mattress is a bit thin and firm but we are used to a firmer mattress so it wasn’t an issue. We wished there were more than 2 pillows (which were quite flat).
The air conditioner worked quite well. Although it wasn’t very hot when we were there (low-mid 80F) it kept the room a little dryer from the humidity outside (especially when it rained).
The bathroom is a bit compact for 2 to maneuver around but not a big deal. The shower had decent pressure and the water got plenty hot. If you’re taking more than 1 shower at a time, be mindful of the duration. The water heater was smaller so the hot water can run out if you take too long (10+ minutes). Bath and hand towels were provided as well as some hand soap. We didn’t see any shampoo or shower supplies although we brought our own.
Wifi: worked great for us. We were able to stream Netflix regularly with no issues.
Noise: Other than a neighbor that blared loud music until about midnight on a Friday, we didn’t hear much in the complex.
Small fridge with freezer was enough to hold plenty of food and water for the week.
Location: The apartment is located about a 5 minute walk from a public beach. It is on a main road but we had no problems parking in front of the building except for Friday (due to a night market) and Saturday night. Within walking distance are several restaurants, bakeries, and a few bars. There were a few grocery stores within a 5-10 minute drive with everything you’d need. We loved the location of the apartment on the island since it was 15 minute from the airport and quite centrally located if you want to explore both Basse Terre and Grande Terre. We were able to drive to the ends of the island within an hour.
Highly recommended, great price, location, and host.
