This is a pretty studio, in a great location if you can find it. The host was kind and tried to be as helpful as possible in spite of our language differences. His representative who helped us get checked in was a lovely and worked very hard to give us as much information as possible to make our stay a pleasant one, and it was. This property is in a great location of Barri Gothic. The flat and the entrance to the building are the most secure entrances is that we have ever seen. Once inside we felt very safe. There are no Five Star amenities on this property, although for the size of the studio it is very well furnished. There is a very comfortable bed, and a cozy sofa. A washer and dryer, and hair dryer. There is good wifi and a big television. There is a washing machine and dryer, microwave, a range, a coffee pot, kettle, and cookware. There are dishes and flatware but most were chipped. The bathroom has a hairdryer and two towels and two rolls of toilet paper and it needs some maintenance, particularly in the shower.
Normally when we rent through Airbnb or any other private rental source, the reason that we do this instead of a hotel is so that we are staying in a home that has basic needs available to us such as shampoo, soap, facial tissue, napkins in the kitchen, perhaps some spices a little coffee, some tea, sugar for coffee, cream, etc. None of these things are available in this studio flat, the kitchen and bathroom are essentially bare. We stayed for three nights, and it becomes very expensive having to purchase all of these amenities for such a short stay.
We have booked many kinds of apartments, even some offered within hostels (private hostel flats), in many other large cities such as Barcelona for far less money than what we paid here that offered at the minimum these items. So comparatively, other than the location, this was not good value for us.
