Hoodoos Hideaway private guest room is in Henrieville, Utah, on Scenic Highway 12. It is conveniently and centrally located between Bryce Canyon NP, Kodachrome Basin SP and Escalante Visitor Center.
The house and yard are nicely maintained, with fruit trees and a garden.
It is a 25 minute drive to Bryce Canyon from the house.
Enjoy your own private room with a full/double bed and en suite bathroom with toilet & shower. A portable A/C unit & heater, as well as ceiling fan are in the room for guest comfort. There is a television with Apple TV.
The room rate is a great value, as it also includes;
*Breakfast with juice, tea, milk or nut milk.
*Coffee that my husband fresh-roasts on site!
*Utah's Aspen Mills breads, (Udi's gluten free bread with advance notice) and organic eggs from our vegetarian fed chickens!
*One load of laundry with the detergent included.
View the beautiful, dark night sky and Milky Way from our backyard!
The visibility is excellent and Hoodoos Hideaway is below a major flight path for high altitude airliners, satellites. When the timing is right, you will see the International Space Station flyover. I hope that you will enjoy the beauty of the property and the area as much as I do.
Guests have access to the living room, as well as the kitchen to prepare meals and eat in the dining area. Guests can also use the courtyard grill. There is a backyard bench and chairs for night sky viewing. The chicken coop is locked and although I will be happy to show you the chickens, guests are not permitted to enter alone.

This is an owner-occupied home. My husband and I will respect your privacy, although we are available to answer questions. We are very social and love to chat! Feel free to use the common living & kitchen areas between the hours of 6:00 am and 10:00pm.
The guest room is private. Our bedroom is on the opposite side of the house from the guest room, in a wing separated by a long hallway and a divider door.
We have three indoor-only cats. There are also three related cats that live outside only on our property.
If you have allergies to animals, you might want to consider staying elsewhere. I do my best to keep the house clean; daily vacuuming area rugs, sweeping wood floors and opening windows for fresh air.

I began hosting on Airbnb in 2016. I live in a country house and have a mini-hobby farm with my husband, Craig. He roasts coffee, brews beer and makes wine. We have three friendly indoor cats, Herbie, Zen and Maui. We also have 14 chickens (for fresh eggs)! Please note: We do have 3 outside cats and due to stray cats in Henrieville, there are "community cats" that randomly visit the property.
I love southern Utah's unique rock formations (hoodoos), vivid colors and public lands.
I enjoy travel, meeting people and hearing stories of their lives. Most of my adventures have been in Alaska, Central America and the Caribbean.
My husband knows a lot about the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and will be happy to answer questions about roads, trails and things to do. I can answer your questions about Kodachrome Basin and Bryce Canyon.
Enjoy the dark sky, stars and Milky Way from our backyard!
We look forward to meeting you and sharing this part of the world with you.
