Lovely home in spacious grounds, in an olive grove, with superb rural and mountain views. About 10 kms from either Greytown or Carterton. Two bedrooms ($140 each, including breakfast, for two people) , each with queen bed & ensuite. Space great for children ($30 each, 3 - 12 years, on sleeping platforms). Additional adult can use sleeping platform ($40 each). Rustic cabin available ($80). All guests have access to house. Breakfast inc. Wheelchair access.
The house is a uniquely designed, light and airy home, situated in a peaceful setting within an olive grove. It has beautiful views of the mountain ranges. Within the spacious gardens there is a short bush walk, many places to sit and relax under the trees, rolly polly hills and large grassed areas for children to play, plus an outdoor draughts/chess set and petanque court. Access to the pristine Waiohine River is close by and bicycles are available. Staying in the rustic cabin hidden in the grove is a special treat. (See other Airbnb listing or (URL HIDDEN) web site.) This AirB&B website does not provide for prepayment for children ($30 each) or single adult ($40). Cash payment is expected before departure but please advise me in advance. If you do not book both bedrooms, the second large bedroom may be booked out to someone else. The entire place can be booked for a group for a weekend, $600 first night (no breakfasts) and $500 subsequent nights. In that case, there are beds for 8 people, plus portable beds, and guests can bring tents and sleeping bags.
All guests, including the cabin guests, will have full use of the entire house including the lounge, kitchen with tea/coffee making facilities, and multipurpose room with TV, board games, children's toys, library and Wi-Fi. Plus the wood-fired pizza oven. Bicycles for children and adults can be borrowed. The downstairs is wheel chair friendly. The outdoor bath and shower are special treats. The host will be in residence when only one or two rooms are booked.

I welcome my guests personally and usually share breakfast with them. I try not only to enjoy their company but assist them with planning their trip in the Wairarapa or finding services which they require.
Другие важные подробности
This accommodation is in the country with sheep, cows and deer for neighbours. Within easy driving distance there are tramps, one with a lovely swing bridge, a wild life centre, a picturesque coast with a lighthouse and very interesting geological formations, a vintage aircraft museum, boutique shopping and lots of gourmet cafes, restaurants and wineries. Easy train access to Wellington but a car is required to fully enjoy the Wairarapa.
I expect my gusts to treat my home as well as they would treat their own. No smoking inside and pets are allowed only when well behaved around farm animals and can sleep in the car port or on the covered decks.
