The Bothy is a self-contained wooden cabin on the edge of our woodland, nestling in the heart of Glen Lyon and at the beginning of many excellent walks and cycle rides. We'll be happy to welcome you for self-catering at our base price. Or you can choose to take a scrummy breakfast with us (£7.50 per person) and/or a delicious dinner (£20 per person).
It's a single-room cabin with small loft space, shower room and loo off. There's a wood-burning stove for heat and a small kitchen area. There are also extra heaters if you need them. The floor is stone and the walls are wooden. The bed is 4ft by 6ft and cosy for two. There is a comfortable sofa bed for children or if you'd prefer a twin setup too.
You can use our whole 2.5 acre property - garden, woods, fire pit - and lounge area in our house. You can walk straight off the property and access four Munros, or walk along the Glen as long as you like (it's 40 miles long!)

Другие важные подробности
There is no mobile signal in the Glen, and no internet in the Bothy. There is also no TV or radio. You're welcome to use our landline and internet if you need to check emails and so forth. Great for a digital detox! We currently have one MTB bike you can borrow.
We respect the countryside and our neighbours and we hope our guests will too. Smoking is allowed in the Bothy. Dogs are welcome (we have Milly, a super-friendly Bearded Collie, Bear, a Mioritic Shepherd adopted from Romania, and Sandy, an arthritic Kelpie left to us by a neighbour). We need you to remember to close the gate as Bear is an escape artist and over-fond of sheep. Please keep your dog on a lead unless you are super-sure it won't worry animals, including our squirrels in the garden.

We've lived in different places all over the UK, but we're happy to have landed in the Glen. We love the landscape, birds and animals, and the lifestyle, and we're delighted to be able to share it with other people.
