Location could not be better - go in one direction and you are minutes from the "Ring" and the Inner City, or turn around the corner and you are on Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna's bustling shopping street. The subway is just downstairs, as is a supermarket open seven days a week. Coffeehouses, restaurants, bars, boutiques, museums all around you. Or relax with wine on the private roof deck.
This is a new penthouse with a spacious open living area in loft style, an efficient kitchen and a main level terrace. The bedroom and modern bathroom is downstairs. There is a convenient kitchen with all appliances including a Nespresso machine. There is a huge living/dining area . On the lower level, in addition to the bedroom, there is a family room with a comfortable sleeping couch, suitable for a third person or for children.Despite the central location the apartment is quiet. Unlike most Vienna apartments, this one has a large American size refrigerator/freezer. The elevator comes directly to the apartment.
You can access everything except the private bedroom wing, which contains our personal clothing etc. During rental times no one except you will be staying in the apartment.
There is a small barbecue grill on the terrace.

It will be highly advisable to read through the guest brochure, as some of the appliances are different from what you might be accustomed to in the U.S. and you will have a much easier time if you just browse through the booklet first.
We are committed anti-smokers so please confine any smoking to the terrace. And the Viennese can be grumpy, so it will be better not to be too noisy on the terrace after 10 PM.
Please note that the apartment is not suitable for small children because there are two staircases leading to the bedrooms, and one of them is a spiral metal staircase that would be dangerous for toddlers.
The other staircase is conventional, straight and fine for an elderly or mildly handicapped person.
It is important to be careful with the keys - three are required, one for the main entrance into the building, one for the elevator and one for the apartment. If they are lost they are difficult and expensive to replace because it has to be done through the building management company.
