Make yourself at home in this freshly remodeled Craftsman Style Bungalow built in 1910. Our home is located in the heart of San Diego on the South East corner of Balboa Park, which is home to the Balboa Golf Course, the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Museums, multiple dog parks, and so close to all of our local attractions. The central location also puts you less than 2 miles from downtown, the SD airport, and attractions like Petco Park (SD Padres), the Convention Center, and Seaport Village.
The bungalow style home is situated in the heart of the city on the border between South Park and Golden Hills where food, drink, and fun are only minutes away. The cozy feel of the 1910 house is a great way to unwind after a day of work or play in beautiful San Diego and walk-ability is great. There is currently a remodel going on so the day it is available, freshly refinished hardwood floors, new paint inside and out, fully renovated kitchen and landscaping will be finished up. Additional pics are coming soon and we are looking forward to hosting guests in our home!
You will have access to the entire home which includes the master bedroom with a walk-in closet, a small guest bedroom with closet, bathroom with dual sinks, connected dining and living room with pocket doors, spacious completely remodeled kitchen with new appliances and farm house style sink.
The outside space includes front deck with brick patio and includes an outdoor shower to rinse off sand from a beach trip or to rinse off after a jog around the park. The back deck leads to a neatly curated garden setting that opens to the adjacent Park with a sliding gate. A natural gas BBQ is ready to cook you up meats from the local butcher shop (1 block away) or the local Mexican carniceria (meat markets).

I will be available by phone and all questions and concerns will be addressed in a timely manner. The property manager lives on-site in the back granny flat so someone can be available very quickly.

There is a small back house on the property where the property manager lives. Access for the property manager to the back house is through the sliding gate into the back yard. Two dogs live on the property in the back house but will not be left unattended while you were staying with us.
All entrances to the home include between 2-5 stairs.
The home is under the landing path for Lindbergh Field Airport so you can sit in the front yard and enjoy the show as planes fly almost directly overhead. You will also notice air traffic noise throughout the day. A poster of commercial jet identifiers is in the house so you can learn more about commercial jets and start noting the make/model of the planes flying overhead. The airport does have quiet hours at night between 11:30pm and 6:30am however there is the occasional straggler so earplugs will be provided to help ensure you are up bright and early with minimal interruptions.
Tuesdays 8am-10am 28th street has sweeping so there is no parking during these hours on the street. The house has two tandem uncovered spaces for our guests. One space is inside of the gate and the other is in the driveway.
Please clear the sheets off of the bed and place all linens and towels in the laundry bag provided.

I love the outdoors so camping, hiking, the beach, and rock climbing are my favorite activities by far. I basically love anything that gets me away from my desk. I enjoy traveling a lot and I thought I would try AirBnB as a great alternative to the standardized hotels that you get out there. I look forward to sharing space or an entire home and I think it will be a great way to connect more closely with a community.
I work as an aerospace engineer and I also manage my own rental property with a condo so I understand what a good tenant needs to be. The concept of very short term property management is pretty intriguing. Looking forward to becoming an avid member.
