The walk-out basement can be converted to a suite with an air mattress that fits into the couch making a queen sized bed that is as high as a regular bed. Windows have internal shades for privacy and the second bath and fridge are there. Propane fireplace for the winter. Door from upstairs closes to make it very private. Two full bathrooms. On septic system so only single ply paper, no paper towels or feminine products can be flushed down the toilets. There is a foyer room with a couch and chair. Family room has large L shaped couch and cable TV. There is no phone or internet. Dining room has large antique barn wood table - please use place mats and coasters. Kitchen is fully equipped. Walk-out basement (suite) with washer/dryer, card table, fridge and the second bathroom. Upper and lower decks facing the lake - you will spend a lot of time here and on the dock. The upper deck has two lounge chairs, a dining table that accommodates ten and a propane grill. The lower deck has another table that accommodates 6 and a sitting area that is covered. There is a fire pit in the yard with plastic lawn chairs to sit around it. 100 feet of lake front with a dock. The boat and jet-ski are not included in the rental. There are several places on the lake to rent boats. The dock has a few chairs on it, a plastic tub with "noodles" and life jackets and a ladder for swimming. There are two floating mattresses on the lower deck that can be brought down. The area is beautiful. Shuman Point is a game reserve with hiking trails (can be mountain biked but hilly and rocky) that you see from the picture of the dock.

Другие важные подробности
Most of your time will be spent on the lake but there are other activities in the area. Kayaking and fly fishing on the Lackawaxen river (need license). Biking, hiking. Dining also best on the deck but there are restaurants in the area. Two waterfalls within 10 minutes of the house. I would definitely recommend renting a boat. There is a grocery store (IGA) and CVS on Hwy 6 five minutes from the house near the dam. Bait and tackle store also there where I believe you can obtain a fishing license. Children under 18 don't require a license. Closest movie theater is in Hoensdale about 20 minutes away. If you need Wi-Fi the Hawley Library has it. The best place for Wi-Fi is Cocoon Coffee House located next to the old Hawley Silk Mill. The silk mill is a large bluestone structure built in 1892 that used the river as power before the dam was built. It is now a community college and hosts a gym, bicycle, specialty food/apparel, art shops and sometimes has live music in a beautiful setting. Cocoon is the small stone structure next to the mill where the silk worms were raised. Very cool space. Down the hill from Hawley Silk Mill is Ledges Hotel and Glass wine bar. It's hard to find but is a great boutique hotel that used to be a glass mill. It has several decks built off the waterfall and Glass wine bar is a great place for drinks. Beautiful stone and wood interior. Also serves dinner with a focus on several small plates.
