Thank you for your review especially as it gives us the opportunity to reply in order to make a couple of points very clear to you as well as others who might be reading this.
The WiFi reception is unfortunately something out of our control. We too have to face this challenge but have learned to live with it; better than not having any at all. "Patience" being here the magic word. Besides, WiFi is available for free in almost every café and restaurant in town. If however one is on a work holiday and needs it at all times, it is advisable to always confirm this feature before booking.
It is not simple to please everyone regarding the mattresses. Besides, a simple request would have got you more pillows or even bed linen (accidents do sometimes occur ;) ), if you would have cared to communicate with us during your stay instead of waiting to leave an unhappy unkind review, which we understandably must reply to just as candidly.
We often wondered in the past WHY uninvited little "guests" appear only to some of our holiday guests. In the meantime, experience indicates: certain scents (cosmetics?), carelessness, mess. As in your case. If leaving the bedclothes stained an unsightly yellow, the toilet in a disastrous! condition and garbage piled high in the kitchen, is it then surprising that the little creatures were attracted? High temperatures in summer call for extreme care and generally vital in regions with sup-tropical climate. All the same, an organic insect repellent is always at hand in the apartment should one be needing it.
Too expensive? We think not. And especially not considering the state it was left in. You do because you could not see the beauty and charm of the old house nor the convenient attractive aspects of the apartment. Guests often have left with the wish to return some day.
