Our lovely, spacious house in a quiet neighborhood is within walking distance of downtown, the Ashby BART station, and the Berkeley Bowl grocery store. It will accommodate up to five people in three bedrooms, with two queen beds and a long twin. One bathroom is upstairs, one is downstairs. Each has a shower over a big tub.
The house has gas wall heaters and a well equipped kitchen with a gas stove. There is a yard with trees and a hammock.
Amenities include cotton sheets, down comforters, wireless internet, laundry washer and gas dryer as well as a clothesline, wood floors, and a baby grand piano.
This is our home. Sometimes we make it available when we travel. It is not a hotel, please do not expect it to be spotless. Many things are stained or worn. The garden is partly wild, quite weedy, and always a work in progress. There is a beehive in the far corner. If these things bother you, this is not the house for you.
No smokers or scents, please.
Children are negotiable. Please inquire.
Yes, you are welcome to use the piano. The tuning is not perfect but most people find it adequate.
When we are gone the yard is available to you. Our gardener may come work in the garden even when we are not staying there.
No smokers! Even if you only smoke outside, we smell it in the house. No perfume. No loud late parties to disturb the neighbors.

Boring middle aged stick-in-the-mud. Foodie, like everyone else in Berkeley. Home a lot.
Bodyworker by trade. Gardener and herbalist. Eclectic interests focusing on living systems and human creations.
