Shaftesbury known as ‘the gateway to the south west’, is positioned amongst the most stunning of English countryside and on the edge of the once vast hunting grounds of Cranborne Chase. Old chalk downland and ancient woods make for some wonderful walking and riding. Shaftesbury has plenty of inns, cafes and restaurants, independent shops and lots of history. The famous Gold Hill is yours to enjoy with great views, Gold Hill was made famous by Ridley Scott’s memorable Hovis commercial. Have a wander around this old Saxon hill top town, stroll along Park Walk with lovely vistas over the Blackmore Vale, the Abbey from King Alfred’s day,
Within 1 hour drive there is the World Heritage City of Bath, Salisbury and Stonehenge, Lulworth Cove and the Jurassic Coast, Poole and Bournemouth. The magnificent houses of Wilton, Longleat, Sherborne Castle, Stourhead and Kingston Lacy are between 20 to 30 minutes away.
I look forward to welcoming you to my home and the beautiful county of Dorset.

I work full time but some days from home. You will not see much of me, but I'm happy to help if needed. If I am not at home just text me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I'm pretty easy going and make sure my guests have privacy and a comfortable stay. However I do have a few house rules:
It is a 'No' smoking house.
If you are coming back after 11pm, please come in quietly.
Breakfast is not included, but you are welcome to use the kitchen/dining area for takeaway meals and to make your own breakfast.
Please put rubbish in the bin in the guest room - do not put rubbish in the bins on the driveway.
Please note - the living room is Not accessible to guests.
I'd really appreciate if you would leave your shoes by the front door.
Please park in Alan Road, it's just a 2 minute walk from the house.
Many Thanks, Christina
