Our home is the third level of a 125 year old coach house. Bright, modern interior, full kitchen, laundry in-unit. Spacious bedrooms, comfy living room, super easy transit to the Loop, Mag Mile, Navy Pier, Wicker Park, ORD. 10 min from CTA blue line.
Modern comforts in a 125-year old private REAR coach house, hidden from city streets behind the small red house, separated by a lush courtyard. We're on the 3rd floor, so you may get tired lugging your suitcase up, but you'll appreciate the views from the balcony and the comfort of the beds!
Guests will have access to all the kitchen items (pots, dishes, cooking utensils), some toiletries, balcony, laundry room.

We live close by and can be over if needed, but generally we're pretty hands off. We're happy to give suggestions, directions, or advice as well. Our work hours vary, but usually we're working from 8am-6pm M-F.
Другие важные подробности
There is a lot of light in our apartment. The master bedroom has white curtains that let light in, the kitchen and living room don't have curtains (and the sofa bed is in the living room). The unit is on the third floor and no one lives in the building in front of us and it is very private. We love the light! If that's not your thing, the smaller bedroom has blackout curtains and you can sleep there or you can book someone else's windowless dark apartment! We won't be offended. The balcony overlooks common space and the entrance to the apartment is accessed by passing through a shared space. Downstairs neighbors have a golden retriever that they keep inside and take for walks, which would include passing through the shared courtyard.
Our place is easy to access from transit (direct on blue line from O'Hare, need a transfer from Midway).
If you are bringing a car, our block requires a permit from 5PM to 5AM, so let us know in advance if you will be bringing a car and we can try to get some passes. There are streets nearby that have free, unrestricted parking: Greenview, Bishop, Noble, Chestnut. It is pretty easy to find a spot on Chestnut, but you may end up 2 blocks away. You can generally park on Chicago Avenue from 10 PM - 8 AM (check the signs, NOT IN WINTER) for free, and it is $2/hour during meter hours.

My husband and I typically travel together, so I'll describe us both. We both love bikes, cooking, cities, art, dogs, and public radio. We have had a cat and a dog, but now we just have a toddler...and she's lots of fun. We've been using AirBNB for a few years and recently started hosting. We've lived in the neighborhood for 10 years and we love it because it's vibrant, fun, and easy to get around without a car--which we've never had in Chicago. We love good coffee, craft beer, scrabble, eating outside, and riding bikes. Did I mention we like bikes?
The last cities we visited were Oslo and Copenhagen. We'd love to check out Berlin next! I did the Peace Corps in Guatemala and speak Spanish.
