I confirm that I have read, understood and accepted the conditions listed on page two(2) of this contract. Bysigning this contract, I agree to uphold my responsibility to the cottage owner. I consent that I will be held responsible for any damages resulting from my actions, or those of my guests. I agree to leave the cottage and its contents, including furniture, appliances, and other objects, in the same condition as when I arrived. I agree to leave the cottage in the same state of cleanliness and order as when I began the rental period, and if I do not, a minimum cleaning charge of $75 will be immediately deducted from the secutiry deposit. I agree to dispose of all garbage and recyclable materials, into the receptacles provided at the cottage, upon departure. ( no garbage to be left inside the cottage)

a) The cottage owner ensures that all information concerning the cottage is up to date and that the cottage is in the condition to be used in the manner intended.
b) The client agrees that the cottage owners may verify all the information regarding a credit check and the references provided in this contract.
c) The maximum number of occupants will not exceed at any time the maximum number indicated in the present agreement. If this occurs, a penalty charge will be retained from the security deposit.
d) The client agrees to use the cottage for recreational purposes only, and , as a result agrees not to undertake any other type of activity – commercial or other – while on the premises.
e) The cottage owner will have access to the cottage at all times during the rental period and is committed to exercising this right at reasonable times and in a reasonable manner.
f) In cottage country, it is not unusual for cottages to be visited by small rodents (chipmunks, mice, etc) and by insects(mosquitoes, spiders, etc). These creatures are part of nature and cannot be entirely avoided in cottage country. Strict measures have been taken to reduce the risk of these creatures getting into the cottage, yet Mother Nature is sometimes able to overcome precautions made by human hands. As a result, the owner will not accept any of these reasons as a motive to cancel a rental and /or reimburse payment.
g) Supervision at the lake is the client’s responsibility. The owner denies all responsibility in the event of any incident. Children must be supervised at all times while near the lake or cottage surroundings.
a) Only when the present agreement is completed and signed, and the cheques are received, will the reservation confirmation be given to the client.
b) If the client reserved the cottage for two weeks or less before starting date of the rental, the rental payment must be paid in full at the time of the reservation.
c) All payments must be in Canadian dollars
a) In the event that the cottage is destroyed or sold before the rental period, all contracts and agreements will be cancelled and all money that has been received will be fully reimbursed.
b) In the event that the client wishes to cancel the rental agreement, he/she must inform the owner in writing and the policy specified hereinafter will apply.
c) In the event of cancellation, the owner will immediately re-advertise the cottage for rent. If another client is secured, all funds paid prior to the date of cancellation will be fully reimbursed. If the owner is unable to secure another client, all funds paid to the date of cancellation will be forfeited.
a) The cost of all damages resulting from the client’s actions or those of his or her guest will be deducted from the deposit for a total of the cost of replacing or repairing the item, plus $50 for the inconvenience.
b) The client will be held responsible for any damages that exceed the amount of the security deposit.
c) The amount of the security deposit paid, by cheque, will not be deposited unless damages have occurred. The deposit will be returned to the client after the owner has had the occasion to inspect the cottage after a reasonable period of time following the rental.
d) Upon signing this agreement, you undertake the responsibility for all damages that may occur and are caused by you or by your guests during the rental period of the cottage.
