Overall, the apartment was very nice. Modern, and big enough for an individual or couple. I like the modern furnishings and all of the cable channels. It was also very nice to have gated parking and an outdoor space. I had a few issues:
1. A cleaning woman came on 2 of the 4 mornings I was there, unannounced, and she knocked several times. I was still asleep and when I was awakened and yelled from the bed that I didn't need cleaning, there was another knock 5 minutes later, as if she didn't hear or understand me the first time. While a cleaning service is great to have, I would have appreciated being told to expect a morning visit (twice).
2. The wifi is a problem if you plan on getting any work done in the apartment. While internet in Africa is very slow, and I fully understand that, the wifi connection in the apartment was very unreliable and only worked about 50% of the time. It kept dropping out. Also, despite having a strong cell/data signal in most parts of Swakopmund as I drove around, the cell data signal was mostly non-existent in the apartment. If you're in town to have fun outside the apartment, then this won't be an issue for you, but if you plan on doing any work or keeping in touch with work, friends, etc., this will be an issue.
3. I wouldn't recommend this apartment during the coldest months of the year, as there is only a small space heater.
4. Check out time was not defined ahead of time, so it was an uncomfortable situation when I was told at 11:30am on the last day that check out was supposed to be at 10am
In short, if you're looking for a nice clean, modern place to stay during the warmer months and don't need reliable wifi or cell service, this is a great option.
