Come enjoy the beautiful wooded area and our historic cabin. Our gas fireplace, hot spa, fine bedding, down comforter, and high speed wi-fi await. We're 10 min from wineries/dining in Kenwood and Glen Ellen in the heart of Sonoma Valley, adjacent to Napa Valley, and surrounded by wineries, restaurants, breweries and 4 state parks with a free pass! We have ample elec. outlets, toiletries, condiments, bottled water, hot beverage options, maps/guidebooks and more.
Our place is not a luxury property as some others you might be viewing, rather it's a relaxing "old time" camp feeling. Our family has cherished this property since before the turn of the century. The cabin is located in our backyard, 30 feet from or house, separated by a sort of courtyard which is the shared outdoor area. You may see us in the backyard, gardening, dining, etc.
Tech: You'll have a keyless code, no key needed. We have open outlets on each side of the bed and much more! No rearranging the furniture to charge your phone/computer here. We have Wi-fi, a Roku for Netflix and more, a Bose bluetooth/wired player for music. ATT cell service works fine (other providers may have a weaker signal here) but we are out in the (Wine) country so make sure to check in our wi-fi for your texting, etc.
Kitchen: It's a small but complete kitchen with range, full size fridge, microwave, pots and pans, bake ware, blender, popcorn popper, knives, peelers, spices, condiments, napkins, paper towels, even "to go" coffee cups to take out the door with you. There is ample silverware and plates/bowls/glasses for 6 or more. Gas grill for your exclusive use outside the cabin.
Spa: It's clean and hot and has instructions attached.
Beds: a queen mattress, down comforter, high count cotton sheet, extra pillows, and a cozy electric blanket during cool season. Besides the queen bed there is a (click-clack type) double futon sleeper sofa in the same room that can accommodate 2 more small or medium sized adults or children. If you have booked 3 or more people, I will have the sleeper sofa made up for sleeping (including a down comforter) when you arrive. If you have just 2 people and need both beds made up, please tell me in advance, otherwise I will assume you are sharing the bed and would like to retain the use of the couch as a couch.
Heat and cooling: Gas free standing fireplace and a ceiling fan are all you need in our wine country climate.
Bathroom: The outdoor (only) shower is 100% private, closed in, and accessed through the bathroom not the yard. Its warm and toasty while you are showering. The original "bathroom" sink is located in the bedroom, as was common a hundred years ago. Luggage rack and freestanding closet with hangers is provided.
Dining: Take your wine and food outside and sit at the patio chairs/table on a portion of the deck we have dedicated solely to our guests. You may also sit at our larger outdoor table if you feel like socializing as this larger table is a shared area, and for inclement weather, there is a small table inside the unit for dining inside.
Outdoor Seating: There is an old fashioned padded swing seat adjacent to the spa, your outdoor dining table and you may sit at our covered outdoor couch area if you feel like socializing as this is a shared area.
Going hiking? You've picked the right Airbnb! Free parking and tons of hiking at all state parks in the area with our parking pass plus borrow our backpack style picnic "basket". We've pre-loaded it with plates, napkins, small knife, cutting board, etc, everything you need to make a picnic out of yummy local food finds. We'd love to give you tips about where to go and trail maps/book are in the cabin.
Night time: Our yard is well lit for night time enjoyment. Ping-pong table in shared portion of the back yard. Main overhead outdoor light switch is at corner of our main house, next to gate you come in through. Lights over couch area are switched on from next to our large grill.
Summer only: Morton's Warm Springs is a pool and picnic grounds next door to us. You may hear a few swimmers and their picnicking during the day. Visit Mortons to cool off or just stroll the grounds along the creek, all with our included cabin pass at no charge. Hours: May and Sept: open weekends and holidays, June, July, August open Tuesday thru Sunday. 10 am to 6 pm.
We have a full office on site for our businesses so if you need to print or receive a fax, it's no problem. Please get prior OK for jobs over 10 pages.
Shared areas: Please use the spa and we might also use the spa when you are out. We have clean loaner suits in the cabin if you forgot yours. The campfire and seating there is a natural gathering spot, everyone is welcome to join anyone there. Ping pong table is available. Large covered table on big deck is a shared area as is the covered couch seating area.
Guests area: inside the cabin and a small deck has chairs and a table for 4 for eating or relaxing al fresco. An old fashioned (couch style) swing is near the spa for you to enjoy.
Make sure to note where the switches are for all the night time lighting you are welcome to use.
Our areas: Our house, front porch, back deck grill area, and all other areas not mentioned.
Общение с гостями
If we are not home when you arrive, I have labels on things to be self explanatory. We love to hang out sharing a glass of something if you are up for it. Some travelers are too busy to socialize and that works equally well. We will most likely be present in our home and in our back yard.

We have 1 cat onsite and a super duper-friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog who loves everyone, especially new people, but we'll keep him scarce unless you request otherwise. The pets do not enter the guest cabin, there are no allergy concerns. Business Travelers: We keep the dog from ever entering the guest house and out of your way. He will not be where you are unless you request some doggie love :-)

Diana: My husband and I are self employed and loving it and are very active in volunteering with 4-H (no animal projects though). My background is in horticulture and my days are spent homeschooling my kids or leading 4-H. We love to travel but we love our little spot in the woods where my family has been enjoying this property for over 100 years and I have lived here myself for over 30 years. We have been hosting friends, family and occasional employees for 15 years now but just listed with Airbnb 2 years ago.
Charles is a pt time vineyard manager and winemaker/winery owner and he loves to talk wines, vines or beer! He is also up on all the running/hiking trails in the area and enjoys long distance trail running himself.
We love to meet our guests and if we both have time, maybe share a glass of wine or beer and visit a bit. We'd love to share our peaceful spot with you and get to know you around the campfire if you are up for it and we are home. Of course we realize travelers are very busy so we may not see you much and that's fine too.
