Thank you for your feedback. This has been a record year for snow, however I drove up the same day you checked out and had no issues with my truck and utility trailer. However I can understand how a car would with all season tires may have issues. The cleaner does not tend to the kitchen, so as per the instructions the kitchen ware was not verified by the cleaner due to 6 hour turn-around as to how well the previous guests cleaned the kitchenware. I apologize for the previous guests as they ruined a mattress among other items. I will update the instructions to reflect no need to drop thermostat.
I'm unsure about the comment about the broken axes and wood stove being the primary heating source. You requested I turn up the heat and said after I did it was a good temp. Yes I moved the thermostat to the basement as I've had 2 guests break the thermostat in the past which results to large costs to get an electrician to replace in the middle of the winter. I immediately found 2 axes next to the wood pile in the front that were not broken. I do appreciate the feed back on providing more paper and kindling, although this is my first request. I had a box full of paper in the beginning of the winter and it was used up already by guests.
For use of the laundry, I have had previous guests wreck the washer/dryer in the past from drying and washing snow gear. Although they offered to cover the costs, the closest appliance technician lives 1.5 hours away and books a minimum of 2 weeks out. This resulted in me having to purchase a new washer/dryer and drive it out as these are very important items obviously for the property management. However, in the instructions I shared I state that I'm happy to give access if really needed ie. small kids/travelling and give access to 1 week rentals as most don't need for only 3 days. I also indicate in the instructions this rural property uses well water which we try to control minimal use of water when possible.
Many your concerns could have been easily solved by simply reaching out to me as I have a very engaged property management company as well as myself giving simple instructions. I would recommend reaching out to the host for your concerns immediately as opposed to writing them in a review at the end of your trip.
