Built in the late 1700's, Ceilwyn is set in the hills of mid Wales with spectacular views and within close proximity to the coast. Located on the Glyndwr way and only a few miles from the Snowdonia National Park.
A very peaceful rural location yet within ten minutes from the market town of Machynlleth.
Machynlleth has a variety of good places to eat, a leisure centre and a busy street market on Wednesdays.
A great place to unwind and relax in undiscovered Mid-Wales.
Ceilwyn is a two hundred and fifty year old cottage on a hillside smallholding which up until the 60's was a small dairy farm. You will have the the sole use of three joined private garden areas leading down to a peaceful summer house with a veranda for soaking up the views.
The cottage is south facing with wonderful scenery looking up to the high hills of Staylittle. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife and you may even catch sight of Hares in the lanes or fields.
To the front of the cottage is a very pleasant sun room, where guests like to take their breakfast in the warm morning sunshine.
The cottage provides cosy accommodation with modern facilities. It has been tastefully refurbished and yet has kept its original features with a large inglenook and traditional exposed oak work. The bespoke kitchen was made by local craftsmen. You get a strong feeling for the history of the cottage and the surrounding area.
A great place to relax and unwind.
Guests will have private access to a large shrubbery and garden areas. There is a long off road parking area right next to the back door of the cottage.
