Tauro is a calm and beautiful oasis on the south coast of Gran Canaria. If you want to be surrounded by traffic noise and party-goers then Tauro is not for you. Although it is only 3 km from the buzzing tourist destination Puerto Rico, Tauro feels like a world apart. Tranquility is probably the word that best describes this place.
With an average of 320 days of sun a year and only 6° C separating average summer and winter temperatures Tauro can also boast of having one of the best climates in the world. It has earned the nickname "Health Valley" from the numerous psoriasis patients that enjoy the therapeutic effects of this place during the dark winter months in the Northern Hemisphere.
