The 500+ square foot space includes a bedroom, living room, bathroom, and small kitchenette (good for breakfast/tea, not cooking). It has a separate entrance from the house, where we live.
We remodeled our basement last year. Throughout the project my big concerns were maximizing natural light, ensuring warmth, and creating a modernized space that matches the character of this 1906 bungalow. The ceilings are full height and we added large windows. In true NW fashion, I updated the house heating system to an energy efficient ductless heat pump.
We are still working on the backyard.
You will have access to the private unit that has a separate entrance. Due to some recent updates in our house, our space is not entirely private (your space is private and we request that you respect our privacy).
Prior to your arrival I will send you a code for the lock box that will have a key to the entrance to the space.
There is a bathroom, living room, small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, small sink, and dishes). There is also internet and a t.v. (but no cable).
Общение с гостями
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to offer a separate living space for guests. The extent of our interaction will likely depend on the length of your stay and how our schedules align. Please don't hesitate to ask for directions, recommendations, etc.
Другие важные подробности
The kitchenette is NOT intended for extravagant cooking. It includes a small fridge, small microwave, and small bar-sink. I have a handful of dishes, glasses, silverware, and coffee/tea. It would be great for breakfast, coffee, snacks, and reheating leftovers.
We love to host Airbnb guests and appreciate that you follow a few simple house rules.
Any events with guests not included in the booking must be cleared with the host. This is a residential neighborhood, please observe quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. No pets. No smoking on the property (inside or outside). And please remove your shoes once you step inside.
Thank you! :-)
