The house was built in 19th century as a simple shelter for the forest ranger. It is built following the techniques of the vernacular architecture of Minorca: using "pedra i morter" which is a combination of calcareous stones and a mortar of lime and soil made locally.
In 2009 the house was completely rebuilt to adapt it to the actual way of living and to achieve the main aim of the house: Be a place to relax yourself and disconnect of the urban world.
Although it is isolated in the forest, the house is in the middle of the island of Minorca, which makes so easy the access to both, the north coast (10min by car) and the south coast (20min by car)
In winter, the forest is felt up with all classes of mushrooms and wild fruits, in autumn the brown of the leaves in the soil reflects the light make it very special, in spring there is the explosion of colours and smells and in summer the vegetation dries a lot but always assuring the presence of a good breeze.
