I love meeting people which is why I decided to join Airbnb as a host in July 2015. I also know how important it is have privacy when you are travelling - my husband John and I travel widely and we love it when we can find somewhere which offers the perfect balance of leaving us alone to get on with our holiday, but being on hand to offer local knowledge and advice - ideally over a cold beer! I hope we can achieve this with our guests.
I am in my mid-fifties, have spent 30 years being fairly full-on in a career in the Third Sector and Education and am now slowing down a bit, working as a consultant. This gives me time to really get on top of my garden and begin my journey into self-sufficiency. We are planning some sheep soon and chickens are on their way (so nice fresh eggs for our Airbnb guests!); meanwhile I have rebuilt the raised veg beds and ordered the greenhouse so I can start growing my own seeds for next year's crop. Our guests are welcome to roam free in the garden and on our island over the river where we have built a natural plunge pool for the more is refreshing after a hot day in the garden! John and I look forward to meeting you and sharing a special part of Wiltshire with you.
