Hummingbird Hill Resort Lodge is a fully equipped log home in the mountains with views of the surrounding hills. This two level lodge is equipped with hot tub, wrap around deck, home theater and music room. This AirBnB listing is for the entire home, so you will have the full use of the lodge and the 6 acres of property during your stay.
The lodge is in a quiet mountain area with nature all around so I expect that all visitors will respect the rural setting and the lodge and its surroundings, as well as the neighbors. You are free to live life to the fullest for your entire rental period, feel at home and enjoy doing anything enjoyable to you. While you are here, I expect you to use reasonable care with the lodge and furnishings and not damage the home or anything in it, around it or elsewhere on the property. I expect you to not modify or disconnect functioning equipment. I am supplying some food, coffee and tea items which you are free to use, but please do not take any food, linens, housewares, media, paper products, electronics or other items when you leave so that other guests may enjoy them too. Smoking is allowed outside, but be careful of forest fires. Well behaved pets are welcome, but please clean up after your pet. Small social events are allowed and encouraged, but large booze/beer parties (such as wild spring break parties) are not allowed. There is limit of 15 guests (without prior approval). Enjoy your stay to the max. Best Regards, Jim Farrier

I'm Jim Farrier and I purchased this wonderful log home as a weekend home and vacation escape. I love the mountain air with the gentle summer here and the deep fluffy snow in the winter. I work about 210 miles away in Vancouver, so I drive a lot, but I've made it here almost every weekend in the past five years. My interests are nature, meditation, gardening, music, science, business, energy, spirituality, hiking, exploring, creative thinking, alternative health, developing peace and well being. I believe that life is complex with unseen forces and that we are all connected with our roots into the land. I like unusual unique things that have real value even though only a few special people can see the true worth.
I grew up in Tigard, Oregon and lived in Portland much of my life. I became tired of the city and I was fascinated and drawn to the Columbia gorge and would travel and hike incessantly in the beautiful areas. I currently live in The Dalles during the 9-5 work week with and I commute to Vancouver. I work for a division of a large multinational electronics corporation. My work is multi-faceted, dealing with both Information Technology and Market Research. I like to use both the analytical and intuitive side of my brain for both work and play. My education over the years has been in electronics, computers, communications and business and hold an MBA from Marylhurst University. I never stop learning and I keep pushing the envelope to understand life and each new experience.
