We don't charge a cleaning fee as part of your AirBnB booking, most people are pretty clean living so we think its a bit unfair to charge upfront. However, if the property is left unreasonably unclean we will claim from your security deposit on your departure to put things right.
We've included cleaning tools and products for you to use if you need them. Our expectations are that you will generally leave the studio in the same condition as you found it, leaving us only to do a bathroom clean, light dust and floor clean of the living spaces and a linen change after your departure. Please wash and put away all dishes or leave them in a wash cycle in the dishwasher and wipe over all surfaces you've used.
Please clean up after yourself and use the externally vented range hood to prevent cooking smells hanging around.
The building is a solar passive construction and we're aiming for a goal to live off the grid in terms of our energy consumption.
To help us meet this goal we ask that you turn the lights off when you're not home and run the larger appliances through the day when the sun is out and providing us with free energy.
In Winter, the studio is designed to be heated up by the sun so we ask that you leave the curtains open through the day and to allow it to heat the room and then close them at night to keep the warmth in.
In Summer, please keep the curtains closed in the morning until the sun has passed overhead to keep the room cool.
We've recently installed a reverse cycle airconditioner into the property as a back up.
Please remember to turn the outdoor lights off when you arrive home at night as the block out curtains obscure them if you forget and they annoy the neighbors if left on all night.
