On Burleson Road you'll be 10 minutes from everything - the airport, downtown, East 6th Street, Zilker Park and Barton Springs, and South Congress, and the up-and-coming East Riverside scene.
There are 7 grocery stores within 5 miles of the house. The local stand-by, HEB is the closest and the Flagship Whole Foods is about 4 miles away.
Mabel Davis Park includes a hike & bike trail that is great for a walk or run.
There are also a few great places to eat for a quick bite on Oltorf.
Come stay at a Mid-Century Modern inspired urban homestead conveniently located in South Austin just east of I35 and north of HWY 71(Ben White). 2 bedrooms sleep up to 4 people comfortably. Stay for a few nights or up to six months. The bedrooms are full of natural light and the view of trees from the windows. Each room has a closet and a dresser/drawers for storage. The bathroom is simple, small and clean with a tub and shower surrounded by white tile. There are shelves in the bathroom cabinet for storing personal toiletries. The kitchen is sufficient, stocked with enough tools to do some simple cooking. I am working on equipping the kitchen better, let me know if you have suggestions! You can do your laundry in the laundry room right outside of the front door.
Located in South Austin in between Oltorf and Hwy 71 on Burleson. It is a short drive to SoCo, SoLa, downtown, the airport and the Barton Creek Greenbelt. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Hai Ky and 888Cafe are in walking distance. There are 4 grocery stores within 4 miles: Central Market, HEB, Sprouts, Wheatsville and a Randall's. We have a great neighborhood liquor store and pool hall. Oat Willie's is also right up the street.
This location is really best suited to those with a car. I have had guests walk to the bus stops and not find it too inconvenient. There are 3 different bus routes within 1/4 mile of a walk. One takes you downtown in about 10 minutes, the other 2 take you across town - one of those goes up Oltorf and crosses South Congress, South First and South Lamar.

I only clean with all natural, inert products. I make a cleaning spray with vinegar, soap and a drop of essential oils. I also use unscented laundry soap.
