Airy, small 1st floor room, 1 of 3 rentals in the same house. Next to 1st floor bath. Centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. One-mile walk to Onota Lake. I love sharing my home, orienting people to "my" Berkshires, and warmly hosting my guests.
This listing used to show just one twin bed. It now has two twin beds.
Great room for someone who prefers no stairs, and a bathroom not generally shared with others, since second bath has been added upstairs. Plus, there's a tub-shower combo in it.
Five minutes from two Pittsfield theatre companies, galleries, Berkshire Museum, restaurants, cinema center, and Berkshire Medical Center. Ten minutes from Bousquet Ski slopes. Kripalu Yoga Center is in the adjoining town of Lenox. Beautiful Lake Onota is a few minutes' drive up the road, or a nice mile-long walk. Williams College, MCLA, Mass MoCA, and the Clark are just 30 - 45 minutes north.
Guests are welcome to share the living room/tv room, modern kitchen, dining room, and deck. I sleep and spend a lot of time in the basement family room/apartment, with my own bathroom down there. While I am not always in my home, directions and access are made clear.

I am a recently retired tour guide/group leader for Road Scholar, so now I am home much of the time. I am familiar with restaurants, bike paths, trails, museums, and entertainment venues, so will happily serve as your "concierge" as much as possible and as often as I am home. I may also be available to be hired to drive you to many of the wonderful venues the Berkshires are famous for. And there is always in plain sight in my home a box and notebook full of ideas and information you will find helpful.

This is one of three bedrooms in my home available to airbnb-ers. You may be interacting with them, sharing kitchen, dining room, tv, deck, and parking spaces. I am not always home, but will arrange access, keys, and vital information. The rooms do not lock. Ask if this is a concern of yours, and I will see if I can help.
I usually make simple household breakfast items available to the usual short-term guest but do not cook breakfast -- nothing fancy, just like at home! Access and instructions for making coffee are available when I haven't already done so for you.
I welcome guests to enjoy my home, including the possibility of having friends over to share wine and snacks on the deck or indoors.
Working around the possible late hours of concert, dance performance, and play endings, I expect the house to be quiet by midnight.
Consideration of others in my home is expected and assumed. That means quiet conversations, earbuds for media use in bedrooms, and thoughtful use of shared bathrooms.
Guests should also be sure to lock the house when gone and to carry their own house keys for reentry.
No smoking in the house. Ok to smoke outside, with consideration of others.
I only ask that you leave your stay here with things as you found them, which I promise is clean and tidy. However, no need to make your bed, ok?
I am a collage artist who makes altered books, the coordinator of the local Road Scholar Program, a happy dog owner. I have lived in over 60 domiciles, in 5 states and 3 foreign countries. So I have a lot of flexibility, open mindedness, and sense of adventure.
