Welcome to my apartment located in the historic North End. You’ll love the historic charm integrated with a modern interior design. Designed for solo adventurers, business travelers & romantic getaways - it can be rented as a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment (see notes under The Space) . Fully equipped kitchen, HE washer / dryer, high speed internet, smart TVs & an eclectic library of books. You're walking distance the trendy Hyde Park cafe scene on N13th St & hiking/mountain biking in the Foothills.
A quiet tree lined street in the historic North End. I love this space - nestled among the trees with natural light from all directions. It has historic charm dating back to 1904; originally a single family home with a neighborhood store from 1909 to 1925 then converted to a duplex in the 1930s. After years of neglect, I bought the house in 2010 with a rather ambiguous rehab plan. Over two years, I completely gutted it back to the studs, redesigned & modernized both apartments. The contemporary interior design incorporates energy efficiency with modern conveniences for couples, friends traveling together, solo adventurers & business travelers.
The listing nightly rent is for one bedroom; on request, it can be transformed to a 2 bedroom apartment for an additional $ 25 fee ( click on 3 guests during reservation process & the additional guest charge will appear). The 2nd bedroom also includes dedicated work space & access to printing can be provided on request.
High speed wifi (40 mbs +), smart TVs in the living room & master bedroom with Roku, Netflix, Pandora & other streaming channels / apps.
It has ductless "mini-split" heating / cooling system, creating 4 separate zones for climate control. The bathroom has heated tile floors for toasty toes during Winter.
For those who like to read, I have an eclectic mix of books (from travel to interior design) to browse over coffee or a glass of wine in the living room.
You're only 10 mins walk (3 blocks) to Hyde Park (North 13th St) pubs & cafes, 15 mins walk to Albertsons (grocery store) & 20 mins walk to downtown N 8th St Farmers Market (Saturdays) & more restaurants and bars.
Close to Camels Back Park and the foothills for those who love to trail run, hike and mountain bike. A great place to watch the sunrise or sunset.
Welcome to the North end.
Parking - on street parking under the trees in front of the house. Please note that the backyard is designated for the tenant downstairs.

Tips and other helpful notes are posted in the house manual.
No shoes in the apartment (bamboo floors), there's a shoe rack just inside the front door. Please respect quiet time after 11.00pm in consideration of my permanent downstairs tenant.
I'm an Aussie who calls Boise home (well, most of the time) & have been based here since 2006, in between my international projects. I bought my "grand old lady" in 2010, a Queen Anne built in 1904 & later converted into a duplex sometime in the 1930s. I spent 2 years gutting & remodeling the two apartments, maintaining the historic charm with a modern interior design.
I have lived & worked in 6 different countries but I am drawn back to Boise & my home in the North End because of the cruisy lifestyle & proximity to outdoor adventures.
I have stayed at other Airbnb host homes in Canberra (Australia), Colorado Springs, Vienna & Copenhagen. I hope you enjoy my place as much I have enjoyed my stays.
